About the Position:

New position to support the tremendous growth on the Google account team. Reporting to the Manager of Advanced Services, this is a highly technical role, providing post-sales support of Junipers Network Products. The Resident Engineer will be required to develop and maintain expertise on the products deployed or to be deployed within the Customer's network.

Typical Activities:

* Working with the customer as a design consultant for a complex HIGH-IQ; Hyper-Scale network architecture
* Troubleshooting the network's design and architecture issues
* Certification testing design and implementation
* Analyzing complex network and device configurations
* Providing network design leadership; assisting in identifying and building solutions
* Testing product features and functionality
* Providing deployment guidance to ensure that implementations are consistent with design specifications

Responsibilities:

* Help qualify Evo hardware and software releases.
* Troubleshoot equipment and network problems and to open and track JTAC cases through to problem resolution on pre and post-production issues.
* Hold design and information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer's existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.
* Understand the Customer's organizational structure and be familiar with the Customer's network implementation and support processes and procedures on day one to help in designing a network that is available and sustainable.
* Carry out testing of new Designs, features, and functionality as required by the Customer in a laboratory environment and to help develop plans to implement and verify that they are operating correctly in the live network
* Test patches and fixes to operating software and to ensure that they are implemented and functioning correctly in the pre-production test network and then live network as implementation plans dictate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates for this role MUST have a minimum of 7 years of experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments. Candidates for this role must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience designing IP networks.

Preferred candidates for this position must have a Bachelors's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science with JNCIE-SP and JNCIE-ENT certifications.

**POSITION OVERVIEW:**

The Resident Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, and possesses previous FAA experience. **RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Under general supervision, performs complex quality control inspection activities on assigned projects and/or functional areas to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons requirements.

**Your Impact**

+ Provide CM/PM services for OCONUS hazardous areas to include high and elevated risk areas

+ Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and adjusting priorities as required

+ Coordinate and assist third party construction firm(s) in such a manner as to ensure project success, to include being on-budget, on-time, within scope, with an acceptable level of quality given the project requirements and the environment

+ Coordinate construction activities between all disciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical, safety, security, logistics, communication) and any other project related functions

+ Manage the Integrated Project Team (IPT), which may include security, logistics, telephone, computer system, contracts, facility support officer and construction personnel

+ Provide weekly status reports of the project and of any/all support required from other locations

+ Coordinate and assist site development, cast-in-place concrete construction, electrical power generation plants and distribution systems, expedient field construction techniques, building systems and oversight of compound construction

+ Assist the Government in all aspects of project planning, design, construction, O&M, and deactivation to include development of construction documents and specifications; evaluation of bids; reviewing of shop drawings and submittals; site inspections and quality assurance; evaluation of project modifications and change orders; and validating accomplishment of work claimed on invoices for partial payments

+ Assist in developing Statement of Work (SOW) requirements

+ Ensure that the project adheres to established SOW requirements, schedules and budgets

+ Maintain daily project log, document all activities related to the project including changes in the SOW, schedule deviation and cost impacts

+ Maintain close communication with the Customer to ensure their satisfaction through project completion

+ Assist in performing drawing reviews, conducting site surveys, reviewing change orders, contractor oversight, quality assurance, final project acceptance and assisting with approval final project approvals

+ Coordinate with all Government stakeholders (i.e. Management, Security, Utility Outages Transportation/Logistics, Communications/IT)o

+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

+ Bachelor's degree in any field; high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma and five (5) years' work experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree requirement

+ Five (5) years of experience in overseas construction management

+ One (1) year of OCONUS experience with local contractors and labor forces (may be cumulative over several projects/deployments)

+ Six (6) months of experience working in a Government-designated war zone (may be cumulative over several projects/deployments)

+ Must be able to pass a client required medical physical

+ Due to client requirements, an active US Government issued TS security clearance is required

Primary Focus Will Include:

Essential Responsibilities:

* Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
* Coordinates project activities establishes priorities and staff to jobs. Prepares Summary Inspection Report of Daily activities. Monitors contractor progress and compares with the reviewed progress schedule. Resolves technical field issues, and coordinates with Architects and Engineers for timely and accurate responses to requests for information.
* Oversees project controls including checking contractors controls and coordinating schedules, reviews constructors schedule.
* Reviews submittals for conformance to plans and specifications. Develops strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
* Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Leads the development and the execution of the project management plan. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives. Identifies and resolves non-compliant work.
* Provides interpretation and enforcement of contract plans and specifications. Develops strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
* Confirms change order requests, develops estimates, negotiates costs, and writes change orders.
* Provides cost control on projects and quality control within discipline.
* Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for strategic and mini-mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Works with the project team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Leads proposal development and interview presentations for strategic and mini-mega projects to the client as well as general presentations within the industry and community.
