As a Night Mental Health Worker, you'll provide overnight supervision, ensuring the safety and well-being of youth in our residential treatment program. You'll serve as a positive role model, support youth during vulnerable hours, and contribute to a compassionate and structured environment. Starting Salary Range: $19.21 - $21.62 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant's education and relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and document youth safety with scheduled bed checks (every 15-30 minutes)
Maintain a clean and orderly lodge office
Assist with laundry and linens following cleaning protocols

Complete organizational tasks such as documentation, chart audits, and material filing

The
Youth Empowerment Specialist
works directly with youth ages 10-17 in a Therapeutic Group Home setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs basic youth care procedures and related task-oriented activities. Assumes the responsibilities of providing youth care in a therapeutic environment for youth. Provides the safety and security of the group home and the youth while performing job duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform basic youth care procedures and related task-oriented activities.
Assist youth with activities of daily of living and engages in 1:1 interaction.
Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring of youth.
Provide direct youth care assigned by the Program Manager.
Assists activity staff with therapeutic activities under the supervision of the Program Manager.
Accompanies selected youth to other facilities for special tests/exams and the emergency room, within the limitation of their education, training, and job experience.
Works effectively with program manager in mental health and/or medical emergency situations, within the limitation of their education, training, and job experience.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining a neat, safe, and clean environment.
Observes, records, and reports to Program manager significant behavior and condition of youth seeking assistance when needed.
Understands, abides, and complies with all program policies and procedures.
Interacts therapeutically with youth in both individual and group situations, applying appropriate positive and/or negative alliance.
Monitors and supervises youth behavior in individual and group situations.
Maintains effective communication regarding management and clinical issues to the appropriate individual in accordance with established organizational structure.
Maintains acceptable attendance record, reports on time for scheduled shifts and meetings.

Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with all safety standards.
Ensures medications are administered at scheduled time and in the correct dosage. Ensures that medications are kept in a locked cabinet and that the containers are clearly and correctly marked.
Ensure medication management is correct and documented correctly, reporting any significant information to the Program Manager.
Writes correct and detailed Description Assessment Plan (DAP) notes in the client's chart at the end of every shift. (See Progress Notes Policy). Completes Incident Reports as needed. (See Incident Reporting Policy). Completes Communication Log entries. (See Communication Log Policy). Completes additional paperwork per programmatic and specific policies and procedures, including Census Sheets. Overnight staff completes Night Shift Duties sheets.
Other duties assigned by Supervisor and New Day, Inc. administration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not supervise other staff members however this position is responsible for youth and youth activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must pass a criminal and child protective screening background check which is completed upon hire.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree in human services field and minimum of 6 months previous experience working in a therapeutic group home preferred. Will consider others with High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with two years' experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed and/or chemical dependency treatment; or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Family and Community Engagement Specialist
Essential Functions/Core Job Accountabilities:
Responsibilities include: providing the primary source of empowerment support and encouragement, tracking caregiver progress toward individualized goals; building intentional partnerships that advance targeted parent outcomes; providing resource referral, parent skill-building, and crisis intervention; responsible for assessing risk factors, improving overall protective factors for each family, and collecting outcome data; delivering a caregiver survey and collecting outcome data.
The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator (FCEC) works directly with Friends to ensure a "whole family" approach that promotes family stability and well-being. They will be proactive, results-driven, and possess a sense of urgency while at the same time look to focus their entrepreneurial talents to make a real difference for children whose families are seeking stability and self-sufficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
A. Caregiver Assessment
* Collect, record and administer participant self-assessments and all other participant data for outcomes progress and grant data reporting.
* Co-develop individual goals with families that build protective factors in caregivers and advance family stability.
* Assess and monitor families' needs over time and provide ongoing support.
* Maintain efficient, confidential, and organized records; provide timely and appropriate case notes in our database.
B. Caregiver Empowerment
* Model and coach the enrolled family in multiple forms of parenting and communication skills, anger management, and problem solving.
* Empower and build skills in parents to positively and proactively engage in their youth's education.
* Mobilize caregivers to implement plans that advance the goals they have for their families.
C. Community Engagement
* Work closely with Program Director to build intentional partnerships so that caregivers can meet their goals
* Support families to build positive social networks.
* Collaborate and strategize with caregivers to effectively partner with outside support systems, resources, and organizations.
* Collaborate and work closely with community resources to ensure our families are able to see their full potential
* Complement the work of the PD and Friends by serving as an additional resource specialist in a variety of life domains that include, but are not limited to, mental health, workforce development, housing, and public benefits.
D. Program Support
* Work closely with the PD to ensure caregiver outcomes are achieved.
* Support PD in the child identification and selection process.
* Solicit and obtain feedback from caregivers on monthly basis. Document and maintain all feedback, and include in quarterly reports.
* Collaborate with other employees to ensure quality, seamless service delivery to youth and families.
* Plan, coordinate, and lead consistent parent/caregiver support groups & activities.
* Collaborate with the PD in planning, training, retention, and providing support to families, Friends, and volunteers.
E. Additional Responsibilities
* All Friends-Eastern employees are mandated reporters and are legally required to ensure a report is made when abuse is observed or suspected.
* Be willing to work flexible hours and non-traditional hours on a regular basis and be on call in crisis situations.
* Participate in Friends of the Children training to have a baseline of the content, skills, and language used throughout our program for participants and staff.
* Communicate effectively and appropriately in all directions regarding organizational issues, concerns, policies, and procedures. Raise and resolve issues appropriately.
* Participate in regular conference calls with Program leads in the network, and otherwise communicate with personnel within the National network and other chapters about the program. Research, develop, implement, and sustain best practice programming to serve current and future needs of the organization as required.
* Utilize program data to help develop, implement, and sustain enrichment activities and program excellence.
* Be relentlessly committed to ensuring that youth and families reach their long-term outcomes.
* Communicate regularly and effectively with PD about key aspects of the program, including status of families, recommendations for improvement of the program.

The Crisis Assessment Counselor is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team working with clients in an outpatient mental health setting. While promoting the health and wellness of clients, the crisis assessment counselor completes a comprehensive assessment and determines the appropriate level of care and develops a stabilization plan for clients presenting in crisis. Clients present with complex medical, mental health, substance use, social service needs and psychosocial needs. The Crisis Assessment Counselor collaborates with the internal interdisciplinary team, the local hospitals, and a client's support system (when appropriate) regarding the mental health needs, diagnosis, symptoms, and lethality of a client's current condition. The Crisis Assessment Counselor coordinates referrals to community and mental health service providers as needed. When clients need a higher level of care for mental health or physical health needs, the crisis assessment counselor works with the Team to ensure the transfer and collateral information is provided to the entity accepting the client.
Essential Job Functions

* Assessment and Interventions to assist in the determination of a diagnosis and the level of care needed to admit a client to CCC stabilization services or to refer clients to other organizations for psychiatric care or community sheltering.
* Responds to telephone crisis calls and accepts referrals from other organizations, hospitals, and law enforcement.
* In collaboration with the CCC Team members evaluates, plans, organizes, implements, and documents safe therapeutic client care consistent with Crisis Center values/goals and Billings Clinic departmental policies and procedures and those of the CCC also. Consideration will be given to cultural diversity needs and the appropriateness of care based on each individual client.
* On occasion, may provide collateral information to assist Billings Clinic with involuntary detention and commitment to assure compliance with state laws and Billings Clinic policies and procedures.
* Utilizes interviews, the client's support system, and client record reviews to identify barriers, set proper goals, minimize anxieties and maximize client cooperation in resolving their immediate crisis.
* Develops collaborative relationships with the Billings Clinic Psychiatric Team. Also works closely with the CCC interdisciplinary team to provide the best care possible.
* Interviews clients and their support systems, when applicable, in order to set proper goals and minimize anxieties and maximize cooperation.
* Demonstrates positive, supportive, and caring behaviors in communication with clients, families, visitors, physicians, staff, and others.
* Helps clients cope, accept, and adjust to issues related to mental health and substance use.
* Reviews the client record to identify environmental impediments and works with team members to resolve.
* Discusses goals and stabilization plans with clients and their support system to maximize compliance in meeting the goals.
* Performs duties to support CCC's goals and objectives in its effort to provide the least restrictive care in the most cost-effective system of care. Will only transfer to a higher level of care when the client is not appropriately served within the CCC or when the client will not agree to stay voluntarily at the CCC.
* Maintains basic knowledge regarding insurance benefits and reimbursement and completes all client billing sheets in a timely manner to ensure reimbursements.
* Assists with internal auditing by completing peer counselor chart audits as directed by the CCC Supervisor. Will also comply with any necessary corrections, in a timely manner, on his/her own charts if there are corrections warranted.
* Coordinates with internal discharge coordinator and coordinates necessary referrals to ensure services are in place. Provides the paperwork in a timely manner for the discharge coordinator. Monitors the need for revisions in the stabilization plans and makes recommendations to the interdisciplinary team. Modifies stabilization plans to comply with changes in a client's situation or needs.
* Monitors the need for revisions in a client's goal and works with other CCC counselors to modify goals and ensure the client can comply with care that is consistent with their current stage of change. Provides documentation and justification when a client goal is modified. Documentation will be timely, reflect professional practice and consistent with CCC policy.
* Takes a lead role in debriefing crisis situations within the CCC when a stressful incident occurs with clients, employees, and or security.
* Maintains competency in departmental policies and processes that are relevant to the performance of the counseling position.
* Identifies and anticipates problems and safety issues and initiates appropriate action. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or client safety standards relevant to job performance
* Takes responsibility for the identification of own professional growth and development needs; meets all system/departmental educational requirements.
* Adheres to department and organizational policies addressing confidentiality, infection control, patient rights, mental health ethics, disaster protocols, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
* Master's degree in counseling, social work, or an equivalent human services field may be considered.
Experience

* Must have a minimum of a provisional counseling license and the ability to obtain a regular license within 1 year of the date of hire.

+ Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
+ Support Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.

+ Accurately handle cash register operations,cash transactions,and support cash office operations as needed
+ Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 poundsand occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
+ Flexibility when picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) to help meet store needs
+ Active engagement by picking up and working shiftsas well as responding to our attempts at contact. You must work at least one shift within 5months or you will be administratively terminated.
+ Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
+ Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
