Job Purpose The Milieu Counselor is a member of the multidisciplinary team who, under the supervision of a registered nurse, is responsible for a safe and structured service as well as attending to the individual needs of patients in crisis in an inpatient psychiatric setting. The role of a Milieu Counselor will assist with ADL'S lead or co-lead groups, perform safety checks, 1:1 meetings with patients, and will accurately chart patients B/P, TPR & weight. Notifies RN of any changes in vital signs. Accurately measures and documents patient's intake and output. Assists patients following through with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living), maintaining nutritional and hydration needs, and assisting and monitoring the patient's needs and other tasks as assigned by the charge RN. Summary: To assist the Residential Manager (or Lead/Assistant Residential Manager) in the development and implementation of a comprehensive residential program for each of their assigned individuals Primary Job Responsibilities: * Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments * Assist in the development and implementation of each individual's residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule. * Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences. * Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home. * Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care. * Administer and record individuals' medications, in compliance with MAP. * Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations. * Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed. * Engage in de-escalation of individuals. Essential Job Functions * Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including inclement weather * Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn * Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs * Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job * Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportations of individuals * Must be able to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI) * The ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence * A minimum of an Associate's Degree is preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered * Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background requirements * MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within the first 90 days of employment

Programs focuses on both mental health and addiction issues, including the unique challenges women in recovery face. Schedule: Part time 16-Hours, weekend second shift, 3pm-11:30pm Duties and Responsibilities: The Residential Assistant will perform, coordinate and monitor the daily non-clinical operations of the program. Provide orientation of clients into the community. Conduct tour of the facility and make introductions. Problem solve and provide other support to clients as needed. Serve as a role model.
