Your role as a Crisis Stabilization - Lead Residential Counselor: CHD'S Community Behavioral Health Center offers both a Youth (13-17) and Adult (18+) Crisis Stabilization Unit. Crisis stabilization is a short-term, voluntary program offering intensive behavioral health stabilization as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. Services include bur are not limited to: crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, nursing care, individual and group therapy, peer support, short-term treatment planning, discharge planning, and coordination of care with service providers. The Lead Residential Counselor will lead the shift while providing support to direct care staff and clients. Your Impact and Key Responsibilities * Supervise, guide and role model with youth regarding their daily activities, in accordance with the daily program schedule. Education and Preferred Experience: Qualifications: Essential: * High School diploma or GED. * Minimum of one-year experience working with at-risk youth or adolescents displaying emotional/ behavioral challenges. * Completion of at least 60 hours of college training with major course work in social sciences is preferred. * Class E license (or must obtain within 30 days of hire.) * Must be 21 years of age or older.
