New Season
For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers that specialize in providing safe, quality and best in class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD").
Operating in over 70 treatment centers in multiple states, our team members are engaged in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management of individuals living with OUD. We treat the whole person and, in so doing, address the underlying causes of OUD in an effort to provide a continuum of care that not only addresses treatment needs but supports the patient on their journey to recovery.
Job Summary:
New Season operates a number of nationally recognized and accredited methadone treatment centers dedicated to helping individuals with prescription drug abuse and/or opiate addiction regain control of their lives.

Essential Functions:
Works with patients to complete all intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
Documents patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups.
Completes patient psychosocial and an individualized treatment plan within the required time frame.
Identifies any clinical/case management needs and works to address those needs.
Performs individual, group, and family counseling as required.
Performs at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through individual or group counseling.
Reports patient abuse, neglect and exploitation as required.
Reports patient grievances as required.
Educates patient in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
Obtains Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
Assists in monitoring all patient activities on center premises.
Actively participates in community relations activities as directed and authorized.
Ensures the reading and understanding of the Policy and Procedures Manual.
Ensures compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA)
Is responsible for obtaining or maintaining proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
Actively participates in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF, the State, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and any other agency site visits as dictated by the state laws or regulations.
Participates in all staff meetings
Ensures compliance with local, State, Federal and Colonial Management Group, LP rules, regulations and policies.
Always acts in the best interests of the program and company; honors, supports, and protects the proprietary data and rights of the company.
Performs other tasks as assigned by clinic, region or corporate leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Experience in substance abuse field is not required, but preferred
Qualified candidates will have a counseling Certification in a related field (State Specific)
Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
Experience Required:
Minimum of 500 hours of experience in substance abuse is preferred

Position Summary
The Horizons Program is a regional perinatal/maternal substance abuse treatment program of the Department of OB-GYN at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This program provides comprehensive, gender specific outpatient and residential treatment for pregnant women, mothers, and their children. In our program, a pregnant woman or a mother and her children age 0-11 may reside in their own apartment for up to one year. The mother works on her recovery from active addiction, trauma and other mental health issues, parenting, and education and employment for self-sufficiency. The children who reside with the mother receive comprehensive evaluations and treatment as indicated.
Residential Advisors provide individual and family support to the families in the UNC Horizons program. This position is for a residential advisor that will provide support to the women and children in the Sunrise program. The RAs provide transportation, recovery support, observed urine drug screens, observation of medication self-administration, and basic life skills support. All staff are responsible to ensure the safety of the women and children in our program by conducting rounds. Residential advisors are also responsible for ensuring that the apartments are ready for incoming patients, searching program participant belongings, conducting random apartment searches, and other duties as assigned by the Lead RA or the Program Manager.

• Act as liaison with the program after hours staff on a daily basis through exchange of participant information; briefly detailing the presenting problem and after hours plans for the individuals being served by the Assertive Community Treatment Team.
• Meet regularly with the other Assertive Community Treatment Team members to formulate and disseminate information and be available by telephone and/or pager. Meet regularly to review the total caseload, problem-solve, develop plans, and determine daily duty assignments.
• Complete an intake assessment including: medical history, general physical condition, alcohol and drug histories and current use, educational issues, family structure and relationships, vocational history and goals, legal history and issues, psychiatric history (including, onset, course, effect of illness, treatment history, medication history risk behaviors).
• Ensure immediate and appropriate interventions are provided in response to changes in mental status which may put individual at risk.
• Documents participant activities consistent with the service records manual. Write an event note that reflects participant activities, goals, interventions, and outcomes.
• Developing service plans and/or person-centered plans as appropriate, and screens referrals in coordination with the other Assertive Community Treatment Team members.
• Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.

• Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided.

This position is responsible for identifying and meeting student needs, providing interactive guidance and leadership to children with a focus on character development, centered on Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
Essential Functions
Coordinates the site in accordance with YMCA guidelines, ensuring all program curriculum and materials are prepared accordingly and accessible.
Builds effective, authentic relationships with staff, students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
Maintains records as required (i.e. site checklist, attendance, food service, staff & student forms, etc.).
Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes corrective action, discipline, incident and accident reports as necessary.
Ensures that the site is kept organized and all supplies are put away daily. Reports damaged equipment.
Required to Participate in Aquatics Activities during out of school time (Including Swimming, or Deck Supervision)
Also, the counselor will be involved directly with school personnel, and/or YMCA Staff and is expected to build a professional working relationship with his/her assigned site (school or branch) under the direction of the site supervisor. Additional responsibilities include: providing the best customer service to parents and program participants, assisting with monthly statistical reports, strategically involved in bi-monthly Parent Advisory Committees meetings, scheduling and planning of site activities that follows the program curriculum, and adhering to HEPA standards.
The counselor must be a team player, organized, able to take initiative and be seen as a leader by others. The preferred candidate will have reliable transportation, and be flexible with hours, as occasional before school hours and/or other duties may be assigned as needed. The ideal candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
High school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
All Online trainings, New Hire onboarding and ASHI Certifications within 30 days of employment
Ability to apply proactive team management techniques and employ conflict resolution with team as needed.
Must be available for Out of School Days (days when school is closed and we have full day care at the branch).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to work in excess of a 20-hour week Before School: 7:00am-9:00am OR Afterschool: 2:00-6:00pm Monday-Friday
Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
