The Freedom Foundation seeks a Conservative/Libertarian Litigation Counsel who is licensed in one or more states the Foundation expects litigation and/or willing to get admitted to practice in these states. The Foundation strongly desires the Counsel to work in either its Olympia or Dallas offices, although other locations will be considered.

Freedom Foundation is an aggressive and effective conservative/libertarian organization devoted to public-sector labor reform. We do this by informing workers of their rights and protecting and enhancing those rights in the courts. The Litigation Counsel will join an experienced, committed, and hard-working litigation team under the direction of the Foundation's Chief Litigation Counsel. The subject matter includes First Amendment, open government, administrative, civil rights, and related cases. It also provides legal support and defense for the Foundation in its outreach and messaging efforts. The Foundation's attorneys love what they do, enjoy working together, have fun, and passionately believe in the mission. Though we work collaboratively, the Litigation Counsel must be a self-starter and capable of managing his or her own caseload.
The Litigation Counsel's job duties will include:
Creating, filing, and aggressively pursuing legal actions in federal and state courts and administrative agencies against governments, public sector labor unions, and their allies who violate workers' rights;
Writing legal opinions, briefs, articles, memos, blog posts, and analyses;
Communicating about the Foundation's legal activities to supporters, the media, and the general public;
Working with Foundation staff to advance union reform and other key objectives;
Advising Foundation staff as they advance other facets of the Foundation's mission;
Cultivating partnerships with like-minded legal organizations and attorneys;
Public speaking at Foundation and other events.
Qualifications
Applicants with significant intensive litigation or related experience are preferred, all applicants with five or more years of litigation experience will be considered;
Possess excellent academic credentials, a strong and entrepreneurial work ethic, and the ability to persevere under adversity;
Possess excellent legal research and writing skills;
Be licensed to practice law in a state the Foundation expects to engage in litigation;

The Behavioral Technician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Clients include children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, community, clinic, and school settings. The Behavioral Technician will collect data on programs and assist with parent training. The Behavior Technician works under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
The principles of behavior analysis are to treat patients who have difficulties with socially significant behaviors. These may include social skills, reading, communication, personal self-care and work skills.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Plans and implements intervention strategies using direct therapy, monitoring and consultation under the supervision of a BCBA.
Teaches targeted behaviors using specialized techniques that may include reward systems, incidental teaching and pivotal response training.
Records and tracks data from training sessions.
Reinforces positive behavior with children on caseload.
Communicates effectively (orally and in writing) with administrators, parents and community members.
Provides accurate documentation of intervention, goals and objectives

Requirements
J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in the Texas Bar in good standing
Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a logistics, supply chain, or 3PL/4PL environment
Strong background in claims management and resolution, including experience with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and claims litigation
Relevant legal experience, particularly in trucks/trailers, cargo/freight damages, property damages, maritime claims, disputes, and insurance
Ability to produce comprehensive reports to support findings and analyses
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business guidance

Maintaining safety at all times by knowing every camper by name, knowing who you are responsible for at all times, maintaining proper ratios, carrying first aid supplies at all times, being responsive on a walkie-talkie system, etc.
Participating in all camp activities. Must be able and willing to be active, run around, get messy, and want to make the experience each day one to remember.
HOURS:
*This role is a seasonal full time (40hrs per week) role. The ability to be flexible based on camp needs is required.*
Pre-Camp Trainings: Weeks of May 11th and 18th
Day of Camps - Citywide Training: May 16th 9am-5pm
Camp Assignment: May 26 - August 7 (must be able to work at minimum 8 out of 11 weeks)
Typical Weekly Schedules can be: Monday-Friday 7:15am-3:15pm / 8:45am-4:45pm / 10:00am-6:30pm
