As a Substance Abuse Counselor you'll engage with your patients with individual, group, and/or family counseling. Essential Functions:

Position Summary
This career service regional position has responsibility for conducting onsite monitoring reviews of designated APD licensed residential facilities and ensuring noted deficiencies to ensure client health and safety.
The Work You Will Do
Conduct a monthly onsite monitoring visit for each home with residents using the Residential Monitoring Checklist.
Conduct a quarterly monitoring onsite visit for each licensed home with no residents using the Residential Monitoring Checklist.
Ensure that at least quarterly each group home receives an unannounced group home monitoring visit using the Residential Monitoring Checklist.
At least 1 time per year ensure the facility is visited on a weekend or outside of normal business hours (8:00am- 5:00pm).
Document violations noted during the onsite visit.
Review and approve the licensee's Corrective Action Plan to address identified deficiencies.
Submit a Provider Agency Action Request Form (PAARF) as designated.
Update information in GRID monthly to reflect correct client admissions and discharges for each facility visited.
Update information in APD iConnect as appropriate.
Assist with Disaster Planning activities as assigned.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Highschool Diploma or its equivalent.
* Experience with monitoring or conducting quality assurance activities.
* Valid Drivers license or other efficient means of transportation to travel to community locations to conduct required monitoring visits.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:
This direct care position supervises a group of 7-10 youth through activities during waking and non-waking hours. While unobtrusively providing external controls necessary to ensure safety and security, Youth Care Specialists guide and teach youth the internal controls needed to live responsibly when and where external controls are relaxed.
Supervise the activities of a group of youths, maintaining knowledge of the whereabouts of all group members. Comply with published procedures on movement, physical security, contraband, head counts, and reporting.
Provide a safe, secure environment using group counseling techniques, individual relationships, “positive discipline” techniques through effective use of the behavior modification system (I-Choose), and the use of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
Represent each youth's problems, needs, and accomplishments to the treatment team, or provides progress reports to the counselor representative on the treatment team.
Call and/or conduct “huddle-ups”, problem solving group meetings, and daily reviews with the assigned group of youths, providing prompts and interventions to ensure that youth are helping each other and are recognized for their efforts.
Assist classroom teachers in the delivery of subject matter and transfer of class content and study practices to the living units.
Assist and promote activity planning and completion by the assigned group of youths. Ensure that planning, doing, and evaluating are part of the daily routing for each group, and that activities or opportunities for individual recognition are created and used to treatment advantage.
Document daily shift occurrences and frequent population counts as required by local and corporate policy. Make referrals for special needs or medical evaluation, and brief oncoming shifts on events of the past shift.
Other Duties Include:
Participate in training and development activities as required.
Report any acts, incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth relationships.

Requirements:
Education - Two years of college coursework in social or human service field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience - For incumbents with a high school diploma or equivalent, two years' work experience working with youth preferred.
Skills - Verbal skills to relate effectively with youth on an adult level, without patronizing, are required. Group counseling and leadership skills are required. Good analytical skills and the ability to distinguish between cause and effect and opinion and fact are also required, as is the capacity to think and act independently. Certification in First Aid, CPR, and appropriate crisis intervention methods must be obtained during the probationary period. Proficiency in group work must be demonstrated during probationary period and remaining employment with YOI. Physical Demands - Must be able to lift 30 pounds from floor level to shoulder height. Extensive walking and standing required. Provides therapeutic techniques as delineated in the treatment plan with assigned children and families and provides counseling, intervention and support to create a therapeutic environment in the home or in an outpatient setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Attends all Camelot training, completes all new employee orientation topics within the first quarter of employment and demonstrates competency in all initial and ongoing training topics.
For programs utilizing a specific treatment model, achieves certification according to program timelines and adheres to all requirements of the treatment model. (additional information about specific treatment model requirements may be attached)
Demonstrates competency in therapeutic skills and evidence-based or best practice approaches through on-going professional growth and development activities and case review.
Utilizes outcome measures and other reports (when applicable) in each clients treatment by reviewing initial and quarterly measures and reports and bases treatment plans and interventions on issues identified through continual assessment.
Maintains electronic and paper clinical files according to company policy and applicable regulations.
Completes clinical documentation within established time frames.
Attends and actively participates in weekly supervision including follow-up with supervision recommendations.
Works with team to create and update all client and family centered Treatment Plans, assuring that all plans meet Camelot policies, state and federal law/rules, funding requirements and COA standards in a timely manner.
Provides individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions as outlined in the Treatment Plan.
Participates in permanency planning activities, including discharge planning as assigned by the treatment team within established time frame.
Participates in staffings for children assigned on case load.
Participates in court-related issues for the case load in coordination with their supervisor.
Links the child and family with specific services and resources as identified in the service/treatment plan.
Serves as liaison with other professionals and agencies.
On-call as directed by Clinical Director and program requirements.
Discusses with supervisor any over or under utilization of services in regards to outcome monitoring.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree preferred in a Human Service discipline from four-year accredited college or university and experience working with children/adolescents in a therapeutic treatment environment and in compliance with State or contractual requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS This position requires the following credentials.
Possess a current Background Clearance Screening Letter.
Possess a valid drivers license and be insurable by the agencys current insurance carrier if using a company automobile.

Newberry Community School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. This role works collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to provide counseling services, promote student well-being, and support a safe, positive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Guidance/Counseling or School Counseling
Valid Florida School Counselor Certification
Minimum of one (1) year of school counseling or teaching experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, faculty, administrators, and outside agencies
Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications and word processing software Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and developmental levels

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide individual counseling to students addressing academic, personal, social, and emotional concerns
Assist students in identifying strengths, challenges, and strategies for success
Support students in developing coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and personal issues
Conduct small-group counseling sessions focused on social skills, study skills, conflict resolution, grief, and self-esteem
Facilitate peer mediation and conflict resolution programs
Collaborate with students, teachers, and parents to develop academic plans and support in overcoming academic challenges
Assist students with academic goal setting, course selection, and post-secondary planning
Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in situations involving bullying, family concerns, or mental health emergencies
Collaborate with school administration and external agencies to ensure student safety and well-being
Promote mental health awareness through workshops, presentations, and informational resources
Educate students, staff, and parents on mental health topics and available support services
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify students in need of support and to coordinate interventions.
Participate in the Child Study Team to identify students requiring targeted or intensive services
Participate in the Threat Management Team to assess and monitor potential risks to the school community
Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources
Maintain accurate, confidential counseling records and student documentation
Prepare reports and assessments as required by school policy or administration needs
Stay current on best practices, research, and professional standards in school counseling, mental health, and educational strategies
Participate in ongoing professional development
Assist students and parents in understanding school policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds as needed to move objects
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and communicate effectively

Keeps abreast of current Mental and Behavioral Health trends and knowledge.
When requested, provides education and training for Cornerstone Health Services staff or the community in general.
Other Job Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Masters' degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or Masters' degree in counseling, psychology or related field required.
2. Must possess a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in good standing or similar credential (e.g. LMHC, LMFT) and have a minimum of 5years experience providing mental health/behavioral health counseling required.
3. Able to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and commitment to the mental health philosophy.
4. Able to assess data reflecting the client's status and circumstances, and to plan interventions accordingly.

Job Summary:

Social Services Assistant Essential Functions
Assisting the Social Services Director in the operation of the Social Services Department. This includes:
