Position Summary:
We are currently hiring an Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Reserve School. The Reserve School, in partnership with Bellefaire JCB, is an established residential treatment program located just outside of Cleveland. The school fills a unique need for highly clinical and therapeutic treatment in a small setting coupled with substantive special education programming. A chartered, nonpublic school for grades 6-12, the program offers core classes and electives with a focus on life skills, critical thinking and collaborative problem solving. As the Intervention Specialist, you will plan and teach specific core classes and electives as well as mentor and guide students in a special education classroom.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintain direct contact with students, parents/guardians, mental health professionals and home school district representatives.
Ensure student records are kept in compliance with the Ohio Department of Education standards.
Extend and supports therapeutic ideals and goals of ACES Academy and Applewood Children's Services.
Actively reviews student's progress and plans through all available documentation I.e. ETR, IEP, Therapist reports, background reports, and Juvenile Court reports.
Substitute for absent staff as needed.
Cooperate with the educational team regarding planning, decisions and execution of IEP's made in conjunction with the student's home district representative.

Intervention Specialist Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Plan Development: Create effective lesson plans that include accommodations and consultation with general education teacher as needed. Plans should accommodate various student levels, include procedures for assessing knowledge, outline the content standards addressed, and specify the curriculum used. Adapt the general education curriculum according to needs outlined in the IEP.
Supervision of Paraprofessionals: Oversee and direct paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom. While Program Supervisors and Site Administrators will assist in supervision, it is the teacher's primary responsibility in the classroom.
Implementation of PBIS Program: Manage the classroom's Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program, including tracking behavior points, maintaining the student store, and communicating with parents/guardians.
Classroom Management: Maintain a classroom environment that prioritizes student engagement and safety, implementing the behavior plan, modifying state-adopted curriculum, and employing strategies to effectively teach students with various disabilities.
IEP Meetings and Documentation: Attend IEP meetings for students assigned to the classroom. Write updates for each student's annual IEP in coordination with the state standards, school district expectations, and enter all IEP updates (Present Levels, BIP, ITP, and Goals) into the dedicated IEP documentation system prior to the meetings. Maintain documentation on IEP goals, student academic and social growth, prepare progress reports. Ensure documentation is accessible and provided upon request in a timely manner. Ensure confidentiality of records according to district and FERPA regulations.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff and outside agencies to effectively educate each student.
Assistive Technology: Support implementation and use of assistive technology including, but not limited to, augmentative communication devices.
Instructional Planning: Plan instruction and design learning experiences based on data. Conduct summative assessments with each student in accordance with IEP goal reporting timelines. Administer, transfer, and interpret educational assessment data for supporting educational decision making and goal development.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development activities as directed by the district including teacher and all staff trainings.
Intervention Specialist Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Valid Intervention Specialist License from the Ohio Department of Education (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive (preferred))

Position Summary:
We are looking for an Licensed Clinical Group Therapist to work with children ages 9.5-17 in a community based day treatment setting. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Social Service Assistant will be responsible to the Program Manager of the locality within which they are employed and work to provide a trauma-informed, safe and stimulating environment for clients. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To assist in the efficient running of the facility and its therapeutic programming and other general duties associated.
2. While utilizing trauma-informed care, assist clients upon shelter entrance with required paperwork, continued assistance throughout their shelter stay by providing supplemental case management, and assist in communication and coordination with various agencies to secure appointments and resources.
3. Provide a level of support necessary to ensure all clients experience an improved quality of life while in our shelters.
4. Use a strength-based approach to help clients in working towards their goals of obtaining independent living.
5. Accompany clients to appointments, as needed.
6. Organize, plan and lead groups for clients in shelter to help promote positive interactions and group work (i.e. affirmation boards, book club, yoga, etc.), on a voluntary basis, when time allows.
7. Complete daily administrative duties such as answering phone, directing inbound calls, keeping office clean and organized, tracking supply lists and facility needs, completing check requests and therapeutic programming attendance of clients.
8. Maintain facility documents and records and ensure all requirements to operate a facility are being met, such as conducting fire drills, kitchen temperatures, and other facility needs.
9. Prepare rooms and meals (as needed) for clients.
10. Work with team members to foster a positive working environment.

12. Attend staff meetings and training courses as required by management.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the administrative and clinical supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Family Preservation / Home Based Therapist provides individual and/or family assessment, psychotherapy, and TBS to caregivers, children, and families in Cuyahoga County. Sessions occur in the home and community. Coordination with DCFS and/or other referrals sources and other formal supports is expected. Work hours are flexible, some evening hours are expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Provide psychotherapy and therapeutic behavioral services (TBS) based on client assessed needs.
Provide referred families and individuals with assessment services, as needed. Identify problems within family system and utilize appropriate interventions to address diverse family needs.
Interview clients to obtain information pertinent to establishing and maintaining effective client records and Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs). Develop and coordinate focused, measurable and achievable ITPs that are consistent with the client and family's identified needs. Gather information in a timely and systemic manner that will enable ongoing diagnosis, assessment, and treatment planning that includes DCFS or court concerns and recommendations into treatment plans.
Collaborate with families and clients in the development of crisis plans and provides crisis assistance and coaching as needed.
