GENERAL DESCRIPTION
TJJD addresses the multiple and complex needs of the youth committed to the agency as well as their families through a trauma informed multidisciplinary integrated approach that includes implementation of the agency approved Texas Model and a Mental Health Treatment Program (MHTP). The MHTP provides enhanced psychiatric and psychological assistance to youth who have been diagnosed with moderate to severe mental health problems and/or illnesses, which allows the general rehabilitation case managers to focus on risk reduction and protective factor enhancement strategies in order to reduce the risk of reoffending. This collaboration allows for holistic and individualized treatment of youth in need of MHTP services.
Performs entry-level psychological work. Work involves assisting in planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring specialized treatment programs. Assists in meeting program goals and objectives; and provides Mental Health Services to youth. Implements and adheres to program standards; and fiscal, personnel, and legal policies.
Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per work week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Facilitates treatment groups.
Participates in Youth Service Team Meetings.
Participates in implementation of behavior interventions and treatment plans.
Assists in administering, scoring, analyzing, results of non-projective and performance tests.
Assists in performing diagnostic and treatment functions.
May assist with psychological research projects and program evaluations.
May assist assigned therapist with family involvement.

The Settlement Home for Children is a nonprofit in Austin providing structured, trauma-informed care to youth and young adults. We are reopening a key live-in role within our Supervised Independent Living program: Resident Assistant (RA). This position is essential to supporting our young adults as they develop independence in a safe, stable environment.
The Resident Assistant lives on-site in a fully furnished studio apartment and provides support to SIL residents during evenings, weekends, and some holidays when program leadership is not on duty. This role ensures safety, consistency, and guidance for our residents as they navigate independent living.
Roles and Responsibilities
Resident Support:
Assist residents who become locked out of their apartments.
Respond to emergencies and coordinate with leadership or emergency services as needed.
Provide guidance and support to residents in daily living and decision-making.
Maintain appropriate boundaries while fostering a supportive, safe environment.
Administrative Duties:
Submit work orders to the Facility Manager as needed using Google Forms.
Hold the RA cell phone after business hours, on weekends, and on some holidays to respond to resident needs.

14. Provides forensic interview clients with information on Victim Rights, to include Crime Victim's Compensation, Protective Orders as needed, VINE, information on other resources as deemed appropriate for each family
15. Provides group therapy facilitation for children and families referred by CPT as needed
16. Provides crisis counseling services as needed for children and families referred by CPT
17. Provides emergency clinical assessments to assess mental status of children and families who are in emotional distress and expressing thoughts of self-harm or suicidal and/or homicidal ideation, or are currently experiencing psychotic symptoms
18. Participates in Forensic Interview case staffings with the Forensic Interviewer, Assistant District Attorney, law enforcement detective and Child Protective Services caseworker
19. Coordinates with Forensic Interviewers in the provision of follow up services to include counseling support, community resource assistance, crime victim rights assistance for all forensic interview clients
20. Provides orientation to the criminal justice system for families with cases in the criminal justice system, in some cases may also provide court accompaniment when appropriate
21. Provides court advocacy services to families in the criminal justice system for child abuse cases
22. Upholds ethical guidelines and professional standards, including following the rules and regulations outlines by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners
23. Maintains professional licensure by completing the required number of Continuing Education Credits and renewing license on time
24. Notifies supervisor of any disruption to licensure or any investigation by the licensee's applicable professional board
25. Provides referrals for therapeutic services to children and protective caregivers referred by CPT
26. Provides Program coverage for forensic, therapy and medical cases, as needed
27. Represents the organization and speaks at community events, as requested
28. Assists Clinical supervisors with strategic planning to identify growth opportunities for further development of the Child Protection Team relations and activities

Partners with Enrollment Specialist and APO on the campus to ensure 100% of new student and families receive high quality on-boarding starting on day 1 of school.
Directs and manages through influence all campus team members to their role in family engagement to retain new students from year to year.
Lead the planning and execution of specific new parent events to welcome the new parents to the campus and helps them integrate and get acclimated to the campus culture and expectations with campus lead team.
Leads the parent conversations and addresses concerns of our newest families to ensure they are heard, and the campus is responsive
Partners with the APO to ensure all new student on-boarding is completed and operational support is given at all new student and new parent events
Owns the campus new student persistence to ensure 100% of data accuracy and reporting through close partnership with the PEIMS team on campus. Notify all stakeholders who own the persistence goal of the data and rationale as to why students are leaving to identify and analyze trends.

Identifies barriers to attendance and support in connecting the family with community resources or hosts in school sessions to support ADA for the student.
Conducts home visit for students that are absent 7 or more times.
Owns the management of the student being placed on the Mission List for chronic absenteeism
90% of assigned teachers use MTW curriculum with fidelity (as defined by students interact with video program 3 days a week)
Lead teacher and campus training on Move This World curriculum and implementation expectations.
Identify and utilize best practice strategies to invest and create a culture of excitement around the integration of an SEL curriculum in the daily schedule.
