This position formulates and implements individual and group interventions in the areas of reintegration planning and substance abuse treatment. Upon approval of the Clinical Supervisor, the Treatment Specialist 2 will conduct evaluations using evidenced based evaluation rating tools, will implement case and treatment plans, and will deliver evidence-based substance abuse programming.
The Treatment Specialist 2 will also develop and implement therapeutic interventions to improve success in completing program requirements for persons in our care.
Additionally, this position will assist with bed movement processes, such as classification hearing reviews and parole planning.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 12-63 with a starting pay of $33.78/hour - $37.33/hour. The rate within this range relates to years of state seniority. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
This position may receive a $1.50 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.

Job Details
This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site.
Anticipated schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM.
This position is FLSA Exempt.
This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.

Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the applicant to possess a current AODA treatment certification from the state of Wisconsin in the form of a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification or Authorized to Treat for Substance Use Disorder specialty certification.
In addition to the required SUD certification, minimally qualified applicants will have experience in the following:
* Implementing and monitoring case plans of participants and determining individual treatment needs.
* Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans and providing case management
* Facilitating treatment groups
In addition to the acceptable, a well-qualified applicant will have experience with the following:
* Experience working with individuals who are incarcerated or in a secure treatment environment.
* Experience connecting clients with community resources.
* Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental health and/or behavioral issues.

What you'll do:

Ensure implementation of Girl Scout Leadership Experience and the Girl Scout Law.
Engage in learning to build skills towards respectfully interacting with people across cultures, ranges of ability, genders, ethnicities, and races.
Create a positive rapport with all campers and their parents.
Guide and implement program activities through camper/counselor planning and by actively assisting with lesson plans each week that focuses on age-appropriate badge work.
Support the check-in/check-out process and assigned duties according to the bus monitor.
Assume responsibility by bus stop as bus monitors (located in Milwaukee County) and supervise the campers' bus experience.
Ensure implementation of Girl Scout program and badge earning activities.
Effectively and respectfully communicate instructions, issues, and needs with campers, staff, and supervisors.
Clean, maintain, and ensure proper use of camp facilities and equipment.
Keep records of incidents, logbooks, and attendance, and return all required paperwork completed and on time.
Ability to adjust quickly when scheduled activities need to change and/or are no longer able to be done.
Uphold and respect camp and Girl Scout traditions both daily and weekly including daily debriefs with campers, Girl Scout Ceremonies, mealtimes, etc.

Ensure appropriate adult camper ratios.

Position Summary
The Crisis Intervention Specialist will work alongside first responders to provide on-site crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization services for adults and children experiencing or who are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis. These intensive supportive services are time-limited, designed to prevent additional behavioral health crises and mitigate adverse health outcomes. Specialists are expected to work on-scene, conduct mental health assessments, engage in de-escalation, make appropriate referrals, and conduct follow-up services as needed.

Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Programs mission, values, and philosophies.
Provide live crisis support for those at imminent risk of suicide, those in need of immediate resources; or those in need of emotional support.

Establish rapport with crisis hotline callers in a non-judgmental and calm voice.
Assess risk through assessments including the “Ask Suicide-Screening Questionnaire.”
Contact first responders if the caller is at imminent risk of suicide.
Schedule appointments for intake and outpatient follow-up care.
Provide transportation when needed.
Administer groups and training for support staff.
Completes all follow-up care and home visits within the required time limits.
Reassess safety and provide referrals for behavioral health and other needed services.
Performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from a CSWE accredited college or university.
Previous experience in crisis response, substance abuse, juvenile justice, advocacy, mental health, or equivalent.
An awareness or acceptance of the NASW Code of Ethics and is an effective and efficient communicator.

The Treatment Specialist 2 will have responsibility for the development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of all treatment programming, to include, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programming for the Earned Release Program (ERP) PIOC. The Treatment Specialist 2 identifies the nature and cause of client's problem(s) and incapacities as they relate to substances, social, vocational, leisure time functioning based on their risk and need and formulate treatment delivery plans that implements enrollment into the SUD/ERP program. In collaboration with the SUD Clinical Supervisor, the Treatment Specialist 2 provides treatment programing in line with approved curriculum and refers Persons in Our Care (PIOCs) to appropriate resources within the institution as needed.

Limited Term Employees must be residents of the State of Wisconsin.
