The Opportunity:
In this role, you will conduct investigations, perform assessments, deliver services, and conduct permanency planning for immediate family, extended family, kin, and children. * Prepare and present written and oral testimony for court proceedings.
* Utilize FAMLINK to document case activities and maintain case records.

Worker Core Training (WCT):

During the training, you will have opportunities to practice these skills through classroom activities, simulation exercises, and debriefs. Upon hire, you will be assigned to the nearest available training cohort. The training includes four (4) weeks at our Seattle training site (scheduled for Weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8). For those eligible for travel from their assigned duty location, DCYF covers hotel accommodations and per diem costs.
The WCT curriculum is designed to prepare Social Service Specialists for the responsibilities of the role, including:

* Policies, procedures, and best practices
* Assessing child safety through environmental observation, interviews with children and caregivers, and collateral contacts

Participants have access to short-term housing bridge subsidies to reduce barriers and increase access to housing options. The Mental Health Engagement Specialist for Trueblood operates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to include Forensic Housing and recovery through Peer Services (FHARPS) and Forensic Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (FPATH).
The Mental Health Engagement Specialist provides behavioral health services to individuals to generate referrals and promote client engagement. They engage with community partners and local hospitals to assist in the referral process and reduce barriers to Trueblood services. They assist in screening referrals for minimum program criteria and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services in a crisis if needed. Assistance and support include, but is not limited to, engagement, supportive listening, psychoeducation, skill building, crisis assessment and intervention, resource education, community referrals, and short term follow up with individuals in office or community-based settings.
The Mental Health Engagement Specialist is a member of a multidisciplinary team which includes housing specialists, mental health professionals, and certified peer counselors who have lived experience in behavioral health recovery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Co-outreach with current Trueblood staff to potential Trueblood enrollees in jails and the community to build rapport, explain Trueblood program services, and reduce barriers to enrollment.
2. Conduct regular outreach support including but not limited to the following:
Community-based outreach, jail and hospital-based in-reach, and proactive engagement to FHARPS referrals and enrolled participants;
Referral screening, coordination, and follow-up; and
Locate enrolled participants who are out of contact in order to re-engage in FHARPS services before being discharged for lack of engagement for sixty
(60) Calendar Days if they are still in the community and (ninety (90)
Calendar Days if the participant is re-incarcerated or re-hospitalized.).
3. Attend court with enrollees and, when requested, provide information about the contractor's program and resources.
4. Outreach enrollees as they begin the program and if they disengage from services, re-engage and encourage completion of program.
5. Collaborate with system partners to include FHARPS, FPATH, OCRP, and DSHS Forensic Navigators.
6. Provide any services for FHARPS or FPATH when time allows or as appropriate. Facilitate and co-facilitate client treatment groups.
7. Provide episodic, trauma-informed, person-centered counseling utilizing evidence-based practices within scope of practice.
8. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with; clinical, administrative and support staff, community partners, clients, and family/natural supports.
9. Conduct presentations on FHARPS and FPATH process and services to courts or other legal system partners.
10. Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
11. Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans, and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed, including facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.
12. Assist clients with developing and implementing safety plans and facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.
13. Participate in required staff meetings, including regular supervision and weekly clinical staff meetings.
14. Requires travel to see clients in the community and travel between work sites either via FBH owned Vehicles and/or personal vehicle
15. Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Must apply for a Counselor Agency Affiliated - Registered credential from the WA State Department of Health within 30 days of hire.

What you'll do
The Residential Treatment Specialist (RTS) is responsible for providing physical care and in collaboration with other staff, shall be responsible for implementing programming designed to assist each resident with their individual treatment plan. This position supports the Behavioral Health Division of Pioneer Human Services by ensuring the provision of quality and cost effective chemical dependency services. Job Duties are but not limited to:
* Interprets and explains program and/or unit policy and procedure to each resident as needed.
* Perform and document daily shift activities as required by program policies, contract stipulations and professional standards.
* Supervise and monitor resident movement, activity and rule compliance.
* Assess and respond appropriately to resident behaviors, attitudes and dispositions.
* RTS's assigned to evening and weekend shifts are responsible for implementing and assisting in the planning of a wide variety of structured activities, designed to promote social and independent living skills necessary to maintain a viable recovery and rehabilitation program.
* Provides written documentation of observations as input to the resident's Individual Treatment Plan and review process.
* Assist residents in meeting health and hygiene needs.
* Provide guidance thru the GGI process.
* Client Files; audits/filing. Check for errors.
* Cleaning stations, floors, mail rooms and foyer.
* Filling clothing requests for clients in need of clothing items from our clothing bank.

The Behavior Specialist is a trained individual who provides clinical and case management to behavior technicians and clients/families under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Behavior Specialist provides midlevel supervision when allowed by the payer source. The Behavior Specialist is accountable to all federal, state and local contracts, programs, and Maxim requirements. The Behavior Specialist supports onboarding, orientation, and ongoing evaluation of behavioral direct care staff (e.g. behavior technicians and intensive behavior support providers).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develops goals, programs, materials, and behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
* Oversees the work of Behavior Technicians as assigned by Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) or Operations Leader
* Conducts face-to-face case and Behavior Technician supervision for assigned caseload
* Assists Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) in behavioral and skill acquisition assessments
* Trains Behavior Technicians in implementation of behavior change plans including behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition goals.
* Trains families, caregivers, and school staff in implementation of behavior change plans including behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition goals.
* Assists Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) in updating behavior change plans including current progress on behavior goals and skill acquisition goals
* Monitors progress and treatment effectiveness of behavioral programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor (BCBA)
* Conducts clinical interviews and participates in hiring decisions in collaboration with Clinical
* Manager-Behavioral or other office clinical leader
* Facilitates the orientation process, competency and skills validation process for behavioral direct care staff
* May conduct skill enhancement training for behavioral caregivers
* Provides behavioral services to children with autism or other behavioral disorders as outlined in the behavioral change plan
* Participates in office and clinical quality initiative activities
* Accountable to all federal, state, local contracts and programs, and Maxim requirements
* Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
* Must meet at least one of the following educational requirements:
* A master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or similar degree when allowed by state or program.
* Bachelor's degree and BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst)
* Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst, when applicable by state
* At least one year of experience providing behavioral services to children with autism or other related disorders
* At least one year of experience in providing behavior analytic services in home, school, or community settings
* At least be enrolled in approved BACB courses and preparing for BCBA exam
* Ability to effectively communicate with appropriate individuals (including, but no limited to co-workers, supervisors, clients)
* Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) required
* Current CPR/BLS certification
* At least 18 years of age
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficiency in the English language required
Compensation:
$39.00 - $43.50 / hour
