What you will do?
As the Youth Counselor you will be responsible for providing direct care coverage by meeting program & client needs. This includes but is not limited to ensuring safety & supervision, skill building, processing & support of clients, behavioral management and communications within the team & supervisors. Specific responsibilities include:
Provide consistent, individualized reinforcement to client behavior, using daily issues to teach and reinforce adaptive behaviors.
Utilize a proactive/preventive method of intercepting problems to neutralize them before they escalate.
Strategically utilize identified behavior management techniques and other de-escalation training to assist clients in developing appropriate behaviors.
Assist clients in developing insight into their behaviors so that they learn to self-identify and self correct.
Understand the impact of client's behaviors on their own actions/reactions in the workplace and utilizes team feedback to enhance the effectiveness of their interventions.
Know the population and is aware of individualized treatment plan.
Provide supervision and treatment intervention.
Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client based on trust & respect.
Evaluate the impact of behavioral, group treatment, and life-space interventions and provides direction/feedback.
Assure consistent, ongoing, and timely provision for basic client needs.
Safely transport youth to/from program activities and community resources monitoring behaviors and following agency transportation protocols.
Effectively participate in team to review case progress and provide best programming.
Follows medication management guidelines.
Maintain positive role modeling and performing, as an agent of change for the youth.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Behavior Health Intervention Services (BHIS) and
Complete documentation of services in a timely manner - including daily case notes, behavior management, visual checks, etc.

The Substance Use Counselor is instrumental in our patient's treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. Substance Use Counselors provide high quality, compassionate care through various mediums which include both individual and group counseling sessions.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
Initial assessments as well as follow up assessments.
Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
Provide crisis intervention to patients, as needed.
Provide case management duties for patients, ensuring individualized quality care as needed.
Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, as needed.

Qualifications
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in social or health services field required;
Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field;
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention techniques.
Documentation experience, including maintaining clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress updates in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards).
Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team with medical staff, case managers, and peer support specialists.

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Spiritual Counselor to join our well-respected team.
Job Overview
Title: Spiritual Counselor
Location: Waterloo office (
travel to any site-location required as assigned)
Job Schedule:
Full time - 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Regular hours will be scheduled 5 days/week. (Monday-Friday)
Flexibility will be offered with hours.
This position rotates on-call responsibility on weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Provide ongoing assessment of the physical, emotional, and mental statuses of patients/families including gathering data on spiritual, social, psychological, economic, and cultural factors.
Provide, facilitate, or coordinate the provision of spiritual care services for patients/families.
Provide direct spiritual support or counsel to patients/families in keeping with their beliefs.
Serve as liaison between the spiritual community and hospice staff.
Document all assessments, diagnoses, identified outcomes, plans, and interventions in the medical record.
Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in developing patients' plans of care.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Spiritual Care and Theology.
Must be comfortable working in an interfaith setting, with the ability to accept different cultures, beliefs, and values.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Current Iowa driver's license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree with a background in religious studies, theology, or related field.
2 years of experience working in a spiritual capacity.
Experience working in a team environment.
Physical/Other Requirements
Ability to move 25lbs with our without accommodation.
In an 8 hour day, employee may remain in a stationary position 1-5 hours and move about inside CVH site offices/locations, meeting spaces, patient residences, and healthcare facility locations 2-3 hours.

As a Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist your Camp Director with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Counselors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Counselor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.
Camp Counselor Qualities
Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
Prior experience working with children

Help out where needed and lead activities when asked to by the Camp Director
Complete other duties, as assigned
