Job Summary:
The Installer IV position is an experienced professional who independently executes complex field activities related to installing, maintaining, and servicing telecommunications equipment. This role requires extensive industry knowledge and the ability to guide less experienced installers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Understands and follows Telamon's established safety practices and procedures.
Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits, including:
Circuit modifications
Software additions or upgrades
Power transition work
Addition or removal of batteries
Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources.
Install, configure, and integrate telecommunication equipment such as switches, routers, fiber optics, and power systems in central office environments.
Mount racks, frames, and shelves, ensuring all equipment is securely and correctly installed.
Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, and lacing, adhering to industry standards.
Properly test and troubleshoot fiber/copper installations.
Perform power verification and power up equipment.
Tests and evaluate systems to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems.
Conduct diagnostic tests on systems and equipment using tools like OTDRs, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
Maintains quality awareness and implements quality control processes.
Performs in-process and final quality inspections.
Reads and stays current on installation documentation.
Successfully interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.

Serve as the main contact for Field Engineers when they are performing new installations.

Qualifications
A minimum of three (3) years' experience is required as a Field Technician or Help Desk Agent responsible for installation and/or providing technical support to Field Technicians.
Demonstrated expertise in the installation, troubleshooting, and programming of Access Control systems, Business Intelligence Solutions, CCTV/VMS (both IP and analog), Intrusion and Fire Alarm Systems, and Two-Way Audio solutions.

Base range for this role starts at $58,000 - $62,000. Commercial HVAC Installer Job Description
These duties are not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned at any given time, based on the assigned job.
Installation of all types of commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, air handlers, mini-splits, rooftop units, unit heaters, boilers, chillers.
Check drawing for conflict
Understand other trades for coordination
Properly size, cut, insulate and install metal duct runs
Understand kitchen hoods, exhaust, welded ducts and make-up air systems
Able to run an area of a project with little to no supervision along with a level 1 or 2 apprentice.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Display the ability to build a positive team attitude/morale in supporting installers. Create a positive/constructive atmosphere at the job site. Recognize and change, when possible, a poor customer relationship into a positive one.
Able to run small jobs/phase of project with one installer and complete the job at or below budget/completion date
Offer suggestions on value engineering jobs
Maintain an open-minded approach to new ideas
Provide feedback to management for installer evaluations
Be familiar with operation sequence of equipment pertaining to the mechanical trade
Work with project leader to develop an environment of efficiency and continuous improvement
Properly complete time cards weekly
Requirements
Installers and technicians are subject to work in indoor and outdoor conditions. Those could include, but are not limited to; heat, cold, wind, rain, or snow. Installers and technicians are also subject to work in cramped, tight, dirty spaces or would be required to climb ladders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Selects type of material according to product being fabricated, knowledge of duct materials and job standards and specifications.
May do layout of fittings and duct, including manually locating and marking dimensions and reference lines on sheet metal, duct board, flex and duct pipe.
May receive equipment/materials at site.
Install HVAC equipment, fans, grilles, dampers, and wiring as directed.
May install assemblies in plant or work site according to blueprint specifications using hand tools and portable power tools.
May fabricate and install assemblies and systems in manufacturing plants or work sites according to blueprints, specifications and other resource information using hand tools, portable power tools and other specialized equipment.
Inspects assemblies and installation work for conformance with plans, specifications and trade standards using naked eye as well as measuring instruments, such as measuring tape, rule, plumb bob or level.
Measure, size, cut and apply duct insulation.
Extensive knowledge in the process for making and repairing duct materials, copper and composite parts.
Clean up debris generated by work activity.
Performs routine fabrication and/or installation activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
Repair or replace defective installed work.
Conforms to all applicable Gutridge Policies and Procedures.
Performs related duties as directed by the applicable Gutridge Job Foreman or Project Manager.
Keep tools needed in trade up to date.

Requirements
Education and Experiences
Starting hourly rate based off education and experience.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC ductwork systems.
Working knowledge and/or willingness to learn the use of computers, tablets, and smart phones.
Salary Description $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
