We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for a Critical Facilities Technician II - Night Shift to support a mission-critical data center environment. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining critical infrastructure systems to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and 100% uptime without disruption to customer operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, a safety-first mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement while working in a night-shift environment. Key Responsibilities - Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center systems to ensure continuous uptime. - Monitor and manage power, cooling, and environmental conditions within data halls. - Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, tracked through a CMMS. - Troubleshoot, document, and resolve electrical and mechanical system issues, escalating as needed. - Respond to and manage emergency and critical incidents through full system recovery. - Assist with operating procedures, PM inspections, and change management activities. - Support physical and logical installations of equipment. - Escort and oversee vendors and external contractors. - Maintain accurate facility documentation and comply with all safety policies and procedures. - Support general facility operations, training, and construction or commissioning projects as required. - Fulfill Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, including service desk coverage and timely response to calls during night shift. Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (required). - 2-3 years of experience in a mission-critical or data center environment (required). - Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations. - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently during night operations. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with electrical, mechanical, BMS, and fire protection systems. - Electrical or mechanical license (HVAC preferred). - Prior military or technical school training. - Familiarity with data center best practices and operational standards. We are looking for a Service Technician to safely and successfully maintain industrial heating and air conditioning systems. Install, maintain and repair air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment. Inspect and check equipment for proper operating conditions, make necessary adjustments, replace defective breakers, controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, electrical wiring, etc. Maintain and repair compressors, motors, pumps, blowers and fans. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment to the electronic control board level. Check and repair boiler systems, water systems and related equipment. Keep required records and logs for such data as pressure, temperature, air flow and relative humidity. Follow all safety guidelines and maintain necessary safety related certifications. Qualifications EPA certificate for handling refrigerants. Must have minimum of 5 years experience repairing industrial heating and air condition systems.
