Job Summary:Plans field technician service calls, directs responses to field and customer service calls. This position typically works under close supervision and direction. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Serves as first point of contact, answering telephones and directing them to the proper resource.Monitors and Maintain the UFS system.Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned dispatchers and field technicians.Maintains constant visibility to and tracking of all technicians throughout each shift.Maintains contact with customers and outside vendors, including issue resolution.Expedites operations that delay response or repair times.Directs work activities of field technicians and stock clerks.Data entry Determines priority of trouble calls received and ensure that available personnel are assigned accordingly.Schedules available times for equipment repairs between field service and the customer.Resolves customer concerns. Example: irate customers and scheduling conflicts.Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum Job Requirements:High school plus a minimum of three years related experience in a dispatch environment. Requires the ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with supervisors and managers at all levels. Must have good working knowledge of MS Office applications. Job DescriptionSalary: $20.00 per hour

The Community Services program at Southern Maine Agency on Aging has an opening for a part-time (24 hour per week) Resident Resource Coordinator position at Plummer Senior Living in Falmouth. This position will work with the older adult residents of Plummer Senior Living Complex and their families to share individualized information and provide support and referrals. The coordinator will focus on aligning community resources to match residents' needs providing information and resources around caregiving, food and financial security, transportation, health insurance and prescription coverage.

Required knowledge and skills:

  • At least one year of community experience working with older adults and demonstrated knowledge of community resources and benefit programs.
  • Excellent writing, communication, assessment, listening and interpersonal skills as the incumbent interacts with a wide variety of consumers, family members, caregivers, community service providers, and other agencies.
  • Must have a high level of critical thinking skills such as analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and evaluate resident condition and needs to resolve psychological issues of varied levels of complexity.
  • Highly accountable for the accurate and timely assessments of consumer needs and for maintaining confidentiality.
  • Highly capable of providing a presentation on SMAA goods and services and/or participating in seminars on subjects related to other people.

Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology or related field, or the equivalent in related education and work experience.
