    Job Description CLINICAL THERAPIST Masters degree only is $53,444 Master's degree with a license is $56,918 The Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, or adults, depending on the program's service population. This role utilizes evidence-based practices to address substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, and co-occurring conditions as required by the program. The Therapist completes initial assessments, develops and monitors treatment plans, delivers therapeutic interventions, and collaborates with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on client needs. Section 3: Major ResponsibilitiesTherapeutic Services Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, including diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. Provide individual, group, and family therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered therapeutic approaches appropriate to the program population. Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as clinically indicated. Caseload Management Maintain an active caseload, including consistent engagement of individuals in ongoing treatment. Develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans and required clinical documentation in accordance with funder guidelines and program goals. Participate in clinical group meetings to review treatment progress, address barriers, and plan for discharge as appropriate. Administrative & Supervision Responsibilities Enter timely and accurate documentation into the electronic medical record in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards. Provide clinical supervision and support to non-licensed therapists, counselors, and other staff as required to meet state licensure and program requirements. Complete all required trainings and perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human services-related field and/or current state clinical licensure as required by the program (LPC, LCSW, LISW, LSW), per licensing and funder requirements. Familiarity with standard business software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ability to obtain and maintain required clearances, including ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances, as applicable. Completion of all trainings required by licensure and program standards. The program is funded by Community Behavioral Health (CBH) and Behavioral Health Special Initiative (BHSI) for Philadelphia residents with co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges. Our program works with participants for 20 hours per week for up to 9 weeks. We provide a menu of treatment services available each day, including individual, group, and family therapy; medication-assisted treatment and medication management with our psychiatrist; health care coordination and full-time nursing support; full-time case management; and full-time peer recovery specialist support. JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a full-time substance abuse and mental health therapist to provide clinical treatment to PTR participants. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Complete biopsychosocial assessments. * Work with each participant and the treatment team to devise a comprehensive treatment plan based on the psychological evaluation and other assessments. * Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Work to ensure maximum client show rate. * Record individual and group progress notes in the DAP format after each therapeutic activity. * Maintain a continuous record of all contacts, events, and progress toward the accomplishment of goals as stated in the treatment plan. Ensure that charts meet all state, local, and program standards. * Provide crisis intervention services as needed. * Alert the clinical team to any current or potential behavioral problems of participants. * Update treatment plans with input from the treatment team, as indicated by program policies and procedures. * Participate in weekly clinical case conferences. * Collaborate with off-site community-based providers. Peters Institute (JJPI), a nationally recognized provider serving survivors of sexual abuse and trauma, is seeking a fee-for-service Outpatient Clinician to join its Survivor Services program. This candidate must be committed to providing the highest quality clinical services to participants in JJPI's programs. This position reports to the Program Coordinator. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop and implement innovative techniques to serve the participants of JJPI more effectively. * Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy to Survivor Services participants. * Maintain a full caseload and work on program development to support and improve the financial health of the agency. * Develop and maintain clinical utilization at 60%. * Attend evidence-based practice (EBP) group consultations (in which you are trained) and individual supervision on a weekly basis. * Provide supervisors with audiotaped or videotaped samples of sessions as requested. * Ensure the provision of comprehensive case management services to participants at 20% case management utilization. * Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements. * Seek out appropriate professional training. * Assist in implementing new, innovative treatment strategies. * Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies. * Complete an initial treatment plan review within the first two visits of the participant's contract. * Complete updated treatment/resiliency plans every 15th session or 90 days. * Complete clinical progress notes within 24 hours of each session. * Complete case management progress notes within 24 hours of each activity. * Follow up appropriately with participants who have missed a session and continue appropriate outreach. * Complete a discharge summary within 48 hours of the termination date. * Complete and submit utilization reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week. * Make initial contact with each participant within five working days of assignment. * Understand the payment source of each participant. * Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment. * Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs. * Understand the impact of the caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency. * Work with other staff to develop new treatment programs to promote the financial performance of the agency. * Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals. * Must maintain own liability insurance SKILLS: * Ability to work effectively with other staff and contribute to a team approach to treatment * Ability to meet timelines * Ability to communicate in writing and verbally * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, word processing, spreadsheets, and database entry EDUCATION: * Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline required * Degree must include at least 12 credit hours in clinical coursework in the foundations of behavioral health and the provision of mental health services.
