The Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH) seeks two Cardiac Intensivists, at any academic rank, to join its growing and dynamic program. Candidates must have completed fellowship training in pediatric cardiology and/or critical care that included advanced cardiac intensive care training. Preference will be given to those who are boarded in pediatric cardiology and interested in an academic center with research and leadership opportunities for the candidate's professional growth. The successful applicant will join a group of ten multi-background academic cardiac intensivists and twelve dedicated nurse practitioners devoted to the CTICU, providing 24/7 in house coverage. Our free-standing CTICU is a 20-bed unit with 600+ admissions per year (medical and surgical). The Heart Center's comprehensive services include hybrid palliation, comprehensive single ventricle program, thoracic organ transplantation, blood conservation strategies, and cardiac mechanical support. Current annual clinical metrics include: over 450 cardiothoracic surgeries, over 600 cardiac catheterizations and EP procedures, and over 24,000 cardiology outpatient visits. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program + Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care + Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure + Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Heart Association (AHA) and/or Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification when appropriate for site. + Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Prior experience in critical care + Bachelor's degree + Neonatal/pediatric experience preferred when appropriate for site. + Prior experience performing invasive procedures preferred when appropriate for site. **Physical Requirements:** + Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. + Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range. + May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $32.00 Maximum hourly: $43.80 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
