Position Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The RRT will provide specialized respiratory care to premature and critically ill newborns requiring ventilatory support, oxygen therapy, and advanced respiratory interventions. This role requires strong neonatal knowledge, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory support to premature and critically ill infants, including ventilators, CPAP, HFNC, HFJV, and nitric oxide therapy.
Perform neonatal assessments, monitor respiratory status, and adjust therapy based on clinical condition and provider orders.
Attend high-risk deliveries, providing immediate respiratory stabilization and resuscitation as needed.
Collaborate closely with neonatologists, NICU nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
Perform and document blood gas sampling, airway management, suctioning, and surfactant administration.
Ensure accurate charting in the EMR and maintain compliance with all NICU protocols, infection-control standards, and safety guidelines.
Educate parents/families, when appropriate, on respiratory treatments and neonatal care processes.
Required Qualifications:
Active RRT credential (NBRC).
Valid state respiratory therapy license of WA
BLS and NRP required; ACLS & PALS preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of NICU experience(Level IV NICU).
Strong competency in neonatal ventilation, resuscitation, and emergency response.
Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic preferred).

Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment

Record treatment and patients' responses in respiratory care records and patient charts
Report necessary treatments and condition of patients to relief personnel
Report adverse treatment/drug reactions to physician, nurse and/or pharmacy, documenting all information
Perform diagnostic procedures\: e.g. 12-lead ECGS, metabolics and pulmonary monitoring

Summary
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Arris Healthcare. In this role, you will provide essential respiratory care to residents in sub-acute units, ensuring their comfort and well-being while contributing to positive health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Provide ventilator management and trach care for patients with complex respiratory needs.
Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment options.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and treatment plans.
Requirements
Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to respiratory care.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Pay: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour

Respiratory Support Technician
This position provides direct and indirect patient care and services in the home, office, and hospital environment in accordance with all governmental, accrediting, and organizational policies and procedures. Utilization of all available resources to ensure a customer receives the appropriate goods and services in the most efficient and patient satisfactory manner possible.
Equipment included, but not limited to, are CPAP, BIPAP, Auto-titration set-ups and downloading, phototherapy, CPM, apnea monitor training and downloading, nebulizers (both high and low volume), oxygen and portability, overnight oximetry devices, conserving device tests, suction/trach and enteral.
Job Duties:
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and HME products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulations.
Effectively convey ideas or written processes and instructions to patients in a polite, informative, and appropriate matter.
Identifies need for Pulse Ox testing to recertify or qualify O2 services per insurance regulations.
Complete all company, insurance, and/or government-provided paperwork timely and entirely. Included, but not limited to; Delivery tickets, safety checklist forms, patient booklet receipts, ABNs, AMAs, equipment-specific instruction/cleaning forms, etc.
Initiate, maintain and perform follow-up calls or visits with patients.
Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and simple repair as required by company policy or manufacturer's guidelines.
Assist with customer equipment problems during business/non-business hours and under emergency situations. Troubleshoot all equipment failures calmly and patiently.
Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.
Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Competency, Skills, and Abilities:
Equipment repair or maintenance skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities and tasks.
