Participates in ongoing Quality Improvement studies within the Cardiopulmonary services unit. Promotes patient experience by maintaining a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and visitors in accordance with hospital standards. Assists other members of the healthcare team as necessary to ensure continuity of care.Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. Maintains positive and effective relations with coworkers, other departments, patients, family members, and visitors. Qualifications Position Qualifications/Requirement: Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Valid current Idaho State license to practice respiratory therapy. BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, STABLE required within six months of hire. Minimum of two years' experience providing respiratory care services in an acute care setting preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate therapy equipment, operate a computer, and to handle supplies/medications. Mobility, flexibility, and dexterity sufficient to move patients and equipment, and to respond to emergency/critical situations.
