Monitor oximetry and capnography in accordance with policy. Review patient chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies as per policy. Assist with respiratory care procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care. Perform arterial punctures and determine ventilation efficiency; monitor and report test results. Guarantee proper function of ventilatory equipment through setup, self-testing, and maintenance. Document and communicate treatment information and patient responses accurately. Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging, including data entry and error correction. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist is required, along with BLS and ACLS certification.
