Manage protocols and administer prescribed doses of respiratory therapy inhaled drugs to inpatients and outpatients. Ability to perform arterial sticks for blood gas analysis and various bedside procedures to assess pulmonary status. The goal of the PREP Program is to facilitate the assimilation of the individual into the healthcare environment and culture. The PREP experience serves as a preview of direct patient care. The student will work under the supervision of a CaroMont Health employee, licensed in the role in which the student is currently enrolled. The PREP student is assigned to a supervising employee each shift (mentor). The PREP student interns are required to schedule 12 hours of observation time per month. The PREP student works in a relief position.
