RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer oxygen therapy via the devices and techniques as ordered by a physician. Administer respiratory medications as ordered by a physician. Set-up and maintain mechanical ventilation as ordered by a physician. Assist in weaning and discontinuance as ordered by a physician. Assess resident condition and provide therapy/treatments accordingly. Provide tracheostomy care including tube changes as ordered by a physician and/or facility policy. Perform airway management, suctioning. Educate and train patient/family prior to discharge.
