Job Summary: To set up and manage various types of respiratory therapy equipment including the various oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, , BiPAP/CPAPs, and mechanical ventilation. Manage protocols and administer prescribed doses of respiratory therapy inhaled drugs to inpatients and outpatients. Ability to perform arterial sticks for blood gas analysis and various bedside procedures to assess pulmonary status.
Qualifications: Completion of an approved respiratory therapy program and licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of North Carolina. The RRT credential is required for employment. (RCPs with a Provisional license from the NCRCB must obtain RRT credential within 12 months of employment). Considerable knowledge of respiratory care, terminology, procedures, and techniques. Ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicans and other hospital staff. Must be able to problem solve, handle emergencies, and have time management skills. BLS required for all respiratory staff. Other requirements are based on areas worked and must be obtained within 6 months of employment:
Adult care/Main ED ‐ ACLS is required with PALS preferred. NICU ‐ NRP required with STABLE and PALS preferred; Mt. Holly ED ‐ ACLS, PALS and at least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience is required with Hazmat certification preferred.

Job Summary

Independently evaluates current therapies using appropriate judgment and protocols, making proper recommendations concerning plans of care and patient education needs.
Documents therapy and results as required by hospital, department and regulatory agencies. Communicates information to appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Initiates, conducts and modifies respiratory care techniques in an emergency setting. Performs and evaluates blood sampling analysis with a thorough understanding of the values, and the importance and treatment of abnormal results.
Works independently in all patient care areas and assists co-workers with patient care whenever possible. Is proficient in the electronic medical records and its interface with the Respiratory Care Department.
Follows departmental safety guidelines. Completes all regulatory requirements. Completes annual proficiency evaluation of respiratory care equipment and procedures.
Physical Requirements
Requires repetitive physical activity. Able to walk and stand to perform duties. Ability to lift materials 20-50 pounds. Ability to move patients of all age groups. Adequate hearing and eyesight is necessary. Exposures to working environment that may include odors, low lighting, and crowded working conditions.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care. Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina. BLS required per policy guidelines. Advanced certifications per facility policy/standards. For free-standing Emergency Department and Virtual Critical Care, 2 years critical care experience required.

Job Title: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Duration: 13 weeks (extendable) Shift: Nights - 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
Pay Rate: $1,760 - $1,960 (Weekly Gross)
Position Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care services to adult patients in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical expertise in adult critical care, mechanical ventilation, airway management, and respiratory therapy procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory care to adult critical care patients.
Perform extubation, nasal airway placement, oral airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.
Administer respiratory medications including bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, antibiotics, and other aerosolized therapies.
Set up and manage aerosol delivery systems including masks, trach setups, Medihalers, and metered-dose inhalers.
Operate and monitor handheld nebulizers, T-piece nebulizers, and trach collar nebulizers.
Provide high-flow nasal cannula therapy and trach collar oxygen therapy.
Manage and troubleshoot BiPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation systems, including high-pressure alarms.
Assist with ventilator weaning protocols.
Perform pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection.
Document all patient care activities accurately within the electronic medical record system.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
Proficiency in adult critical care respiratory therapy.

Trauma Level I experience required.

Your Health is currently looking for a Respiratory Therapist t to join our growing primary care family. As a RT, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients suffering from physical injuries or disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, conducting exercises with patients, educating patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises, and documenting patient progress. As well as developing individualized treatment plans, instruct and assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities, monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring that equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. Communicate regularly with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as needed. Assist in the implementation of discharge plans, including providing patients with instructions for continued care and recommending appropriate follow-up services.
Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory program.
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
CPR certification.
