The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of acute care ventilators for both short- and long-term mechanical ventilation. Employment Details:
This is a permanent, full-time position. Day and night shifts are available. Rotating weekends are required.
Compensation:
Hourly compensation is based on years of experience and includes shift differentials, sign-on bonus eligibility, and relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.

2-3 years: $29.89
4-5 years: $31.12
6-7 years: $32.36
9-10+ years: $33.59
16+ years: $36.95

Job Responsibilities
Perform and meticulously document comprehensive patient assessments, including monitoring breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
Conduct specialized diagnostic procedures to accurately evaluate the need for, and the patient's response to, respiratory therapy.
Administer a full range of respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation, and assist with the safe placement of artificial airways as required.
Monitor patient for therapeutic response, promptly notifying the provider and intervening appropriately in the event of an unintended response.
Respond immediately to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.

Requirements
Education
Completion of a two-year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree or equivalent) is required.
Experience
Experience is flexible; New Graduates are welcome if they have recently passed their boards or are waiting on their official license, with no prior respiratory experience.
Certifications/Licenses
State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and NBRC certification are REQUIRED.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS or BCLS Instructor) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or ACLS Instructor) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or PALS Instructor) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
