About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality respiratory care across a variety of patient settings. You'll work closely with interdisciplinary teams to improve respiratory health outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed
Conduct diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis
Manage ventilator support and oxygen therapy systems
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment usage
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR)
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred

Summary:

* Graduate of a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program required OR students who have received a temporary license are permitted to begin employment with approval from the Human Resources department along with their official transcripts.
* Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation required Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required prior to expiration of temporary practice permit.
* Respiratory therapists who receive their CRT credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to maintain certification under the NBRC requirements
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
* Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
* Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)
* Osteopathic Respiratory Care OR Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP)
* Act 33 with renewal
* Act 34 with renewal
* Act 73 FBI Clearance
