Carries out the responsibilities and duties of a Respiratory Therapist and performs all modalities of respiratory therapy care common to the field, according to established plans of care and at the direction of the treating provider. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Duties include maintaining knowledge in all equipment pertaining to respiratory care and the ability to operate them efficiently, ventilators included. Must be able to interpret blood gases and adjust therapy accordingly. Must be able to perform tracheostomy tube changes, and conduct electrocardiograms.
