Administers Positive Pressure Breathing, (e.g. CPAP or BiPAP), which consists of the application of positive pressure to the upper airway to promote better lung inflation and aerosol distribution. 10. Provides in-house transport of mechanically ventilated and other high-risk patients. 11. Provides non-traditional therapies, e.g. Veletri administration, as ordered. 12. Provides resuscitation and support services at all high-risk deliveries. 13. Monitors effectiveness of therapy using non-invasive techniques such as pulse oximetry, end tidal CO2 in addition to invasive techniques such as arterial blood gas sampling. 16 Assists in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation as part of Code Team primarily providing airway management and manual resuscitation. 17. Documents therapy, patient assessment, and interventions performed and test results in the progress notes of the medical record in a concise, accurate, and thorough manner. 18. Transcribe a detailed shift note for all patient's cared for during the shift. 19. Responsible for acknowledging the proper assembly of all respiratory therapy equipment prior to and during patient use. 20. Performs daily rounds and fairly bills patients for services rendered. Attend rounds daily with the intensive care unit critical care team and is an active participant in the patient's care. 21. Assists with development of in-service programs for departmental personnel. 22. Assists the clinical educator with orientation of new employees. Job Overview Under the direction of the CT Supervisor and the Radiologist, performs CT procedures that follow radiological standards in a safe, accurate and timely manner which are necessary to allow the radiologist and/or physician to make a radiological diagnosis. Job Description Minimum Qualifications: 1. Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine, Radiological Technologist program. 2. One (1) year of experience as a CT Technologist. 3. Radiologic Technologist License. 4. American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB). 5. Licensed by the Massachusetts Radiation Control Board. 6. CT Advanced Registry from American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or registry eligible. 7. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Completes CT procedure and tasks in an effective and efficient manner, i.e. provide appropriate feedback to patient, clean room, etc. 5. Adjust and manipulate image to required specifications, i.e. windowing, contrast, algo, separates exams by accession, create reformatted images, etc. 6. Selects proper scanning levels depending upon field of scan and organ selected. 7. Ensures that all scans are properly identified anatomically and all appropriate information, i.e. name, date, accession #, order in place, contrast volume and lot #. 8. Completes administrative part of procedure; tech edit, escort patient, clean and prepare room. 9. Notifies Coordinator or delegate of any/all equipment malfunctions. 10. Reports “wet reading” findings to physicians, Emergency Department, Nursing Units, etc. Can access RadPortal if necessary. 11. Restores (requests) prior exams for radiologist and VRC if necessary. Can burn CD for patient or ER if requested. 12. Stock rooms, request stock to be ordered when necessary. Tidies control rooms. Keeps all work area clean and functional. 13. Perform clerical and other duties as necessary to maintain flow and quality expectations. 14. Is a team player, interacts well with staff members, other departments and physicians. 15. Is committed to assuring that the patient's expectations of quality service are exceeded. 16. Identifies patient by asking name and checking arm band per established procedure. 17.
