Works independently in all patient care areas and assists co-workers with patient care whenever possible. Is proficient in the electronic medical records and its interface with the Respiratory Care Department.
Follows departmental safety guidelines. Completes all regulatory requirements. Completes annual proficiency evaluation of respiratory care equipment and procedures.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required. Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State in which they work. Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association required. Advanced certification per facility/department.
Education Required:
Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy required. Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required (or equivalent experience may be considered). BA/BS or higher preferred.
Experience Required:
For Free-Standing Emergency Department: 2 years critical care experience required or a bachelor's or higher in Respiratory Therapy with 1-year critical care experience. For all other areas, new graduates with RRT credentials or experienced Respiratory Therapists with RRT credentials are eligible for this job code.

6. Completes patient/client account paperwork, including Plan of Care/Treatment and assessments. Maintain, implement, and update patient's plan of care and records according to Advent Home Medical policy.
7. Acts as a liaison between the company and the patient/client, family, caregiver, physician, and other healthcare agencies and staff on the case.

12. Monitors respiratory supply levels and place orders to replenish stock as approved by Sr. Warehouse Manager.
13. Assumes on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with the company's policy.
14. Develops technical knowledge of the respiratory products/services offered by the company and be prepared to provide information of it to others upon request.
15. Educates fellow company employees on the features and benefits of respiratory equipment, including appropriate safety features.
16. Participates in educational and professional programs and/or review professional literature on an ongoing basis; to maintain knowledge and competency in current and developing techniques, professional standards, and the DME products and services offered by the company.
17. Assumes full responsibility for his/her own actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
18. Maintains current licensure in all states where patient care will be provided.
19. Markets the company in a positive and professional manner.

As a RT, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients suffering from physical injuries or disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, conducting exercises with patients, educating patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises, and documenting patient progress. As well as developing individualized treatment plans, instruct and assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities, monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring that equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory program.

Physical Requirements
