    As a Lead Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and effective respiratory services and products to patients at home including therapeutics, diagnostics, and respiratory equipment. This is a field-based, hands-on respiratory therapist/leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a clinical leader, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, 40 hours per week with On-call responsibilities Location: Dania Beach, FL Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states as determined by the Regional Director of Respiratory Operations, at the company's expense Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing At least 2 years' experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required Experience in the homecare/DME setting is highly desirable Must have the desire and skill to lead a team of Respiratory Therapists Previous experience leading RTs in the field is highly desirable CRTT certification is highly desirable Current CPR certification is required Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Confidentiality and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Regulations: Keeps patient information confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations Ensures the privacy and security of health information Supervision and Collaboration: Train and educate new staff members, documenting their orientation Collaborate with Warehouse Technicians on inventory, equipment needs, and preventative maintenance Work closely with the Regional Director of Operations on branch operations Work closely with the Regional Director of Sales on new patient starts Address safety and environmental concerns during patient admission Oversee ongoing patient assessments, including status, equipment, maintenance, and psychosocial aspects Plan of Service/Care: Ensure proper initiation, implementation, and evaluation of patient Plans of Service Triage patient issues and new discharges Lead in implementing clinical and organizational process changes Continuity of Care: Assist with scheduling new hospital and outpatient set-ups and follow-up visits Participate in on-call rotations Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
