Restaurant General Manager job description

· Must be a minimum of 18 years old emancipated minor with documentation.

· Stand for long periods of time.

· Work around high temperatures.

· Work around others in close quarters.

· Able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.

· Work with various cleaning products.

· Perform job at a continuous high pace, under pressure, while maintaining quality and speed standards.

EXPERIENCE:

· 3-5 years management experience in a quick service/fast food dining concept.

· Financial/Analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P&L management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

· Valid driver’s license.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

· Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.

· Ability to effectively make decisions under pressure, while delegating tasks appropriately.

· Strong conflict resolution skills.

· High sense of urgency.

· Self-motivated.

· Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.

Responsibilities



Lead and direct the work of the Management team including scheduling, assigning responsibilities and setting expectations Manage performance of the Management team, including performance evaluations, coaching and accountability Plan and implement weekly, monthly and yearly financial budgets Oversee all operations to ensure a great Guest experience Role model and hold Team Members accountable to operational and quality standards Foster open communication between Team Members and Management team Influence Team Member behaviors by championing change and restaurant initiatives Drive business results by utilizing Chili's systems to effectively control costs Follow operational systems, such as our Manager Timeline and performing quality Line Checks Hire, train, retain, and develop Team Members to take on larger roles Drive Guest engagement within the four walls of the restaurant while developing relationships within the community Understand and practice safe food handling procedures Communicate and embody Chili's culture and Cultural Beliefs: Every Guest Counts, Food Perfection, Be Accountable and Play Restaurant

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time position; with about 50 - 52 hours of work per week expected.


Required Education and Experience:


High school or GED required. Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid Drivers License and auto insurance. 2 years experience managing restaurant operations, financials, and control systems. 2 years management or leadership experience coaching and mentoring team members. 3 years experience as a restaurant/retail manager.
