    Individual is responsible for the consistent enforcement and administration of the codes, standards, and county regulations pertinent to construction. Individual reports to the Lead Electrical Safety Inspector. * High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience in a relevant skilled trade or a journeyperson certificate in an electrical construction trade. * The Electrical Safety Inspector Trainee will be required to complete the Board of Building Standards Academy, pass required examinations, and obtain State of Ohio Residential Limited/Commercial Certification with Level 3 Electrical Safety Inspector specialization, prior to the end of the (3) three-year training program. * Trainees who have successfully completed the trainee program and obtain their State of Ohio Residential Limited/Commercial Certification with a Level 3 Electrical Safety Inspector specialization from the Board of Building Standards will be advanced to Electrical Safety Inspector. * Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. * Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business as a continued condition of employment. * All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. * Inspects buildings for electrical code compliance; * Addresses questions relating to compliance with building codes of county, both over the phone and in person; * Completes data entry of inspection results, when necessary; * Completes all assignments and training assigned for the Board of Building Standards Academy and additional training assigned by Delaware County; * Researches code related questions and provides interpretation of National Electrical Code; * Plans out daily inspections in an efficient manner; * Supports Building Safety programs and other programs by working with local agencies, attending meetings, conferences, workshops, training sessions, and performing a variety of public relations duties; * Devises correspondence, completing forms and developing reports associated with the Building Safety operation; * Handles client complaints and public inquiries regarding programs * Operates a motor vehicle to perform job duties; * Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; * Hold as confidential, all aspects of the job; * Performs typing, word processing, and related computer operations; * Works overtime and outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required; and, * Performs other duties as required. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs related non-essential functions required. I. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Equipment: Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as computer, copier, telephone, calculator, VCR/DVD, I-Pad/tablet, FAX machine, small hand tools, probe, tape measure, and other equipment necessary to perform duties. Individual uses personal protective equipment as necessary. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle is required. Critical Skills/Expertise: * Knowledge of electrical codes; * Ability to read and understand blueprints; * Knowledge of general construction terminology and general materials and methods; * Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions using judgment and analytical skills; * Extensive knowledge of and ability to apply program policies and procedures to assist staff in the performance of their responsibilities; * Efficiently operate computer programs such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and agency specific programs; * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; * Ability to work effectively with clients who may be upset, distraught, irate, emotionally or mentally or otherwise unable to function within reasonable range of constructive behaviors; * Ability to work independently, under pressures, and to set and achieve goals; * Ability to organize and maintain large volumes of information and paperwork; * Ability to effectively program, plan independently and in collaboration with other staff units and outside agencies; * Ability to apply critical thinking skills, define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions using judgment, and analytical skills; II. DIFFICULTY OF WORK: Work consists of complex, varied, standardized and non-standardized tasks requiring application of numerous laws, rules, regulations, and procedures. Individuals are required to provide technical assistance to staff personnel on programs, policies, the interrelationship of programs, the computer system and the application of those programs under extremely complex and difficult situations. It requires the individual to be continually aware of changes in statute and mandated procedures, which must be learned and passed on to, staff. Procedures must be developed for implementing changes at the local level. III. RESPONSIBILITY: Supervisor provides general guidance allowing the individual the ability to plan the procedures and methods to attain objectives. Individual makes choices or decisions without supervisory input on most daily activities, such as scheduling appointments, establishing priorities, making referrals to other agencies, and forming collaborative relationships with other service providers in the county. Errors in work may cause inaccuracies in reports, records, or technical data resulting in inaccurate or incomplete information and non-compliant or unsafe structures which would tarnish the offices credibility and mislead property owners and/or the public. IV. PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS: Contact is with co-workers, employees from public and private sector organizations and the public. The purpose of these contacts is to guide and direct, check on progress of work assigned, coordinating services, job development/referrals and handle questions about Department, programs and client concerns. V. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical Requirements: Individual performs moderate to heavy work, which may require the lifting of over fifty (50) pounds. Individual must also be able to lift own body weight out of crawl spaces and up into attics, etc. Physical Activity: Individual performs the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, walking, lifting, manual dexterity, grasping, talking, listening, standing, pushing, pulling, and feeling. Visual Activity: The minimum visual activity of the seeing job is close to the eyes. Job Location: Individual works both inside and outside with exposure to temperatures below 32 degrees and above 100 degrees for periods of more than an hour. Individual is also exposed to noise and vibration as well as physical hazards. Individual may be exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, dusts, odors, mist, gases, poor ventilation and oil.

Along with walking, technicians will have to lift equipment, bend, kneel and stand frequently throughout the day, which will require the use of both upper and lower body movements. In some cases, the technician may be required to be able to lift up to 75 pounds. The ability to read (or learn to read) and understand utility maps may be required to complete daily tasks. At a minimum, applicants must meet these requirements: Possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record Pass pre-employment background and drug screening (there will be additional random drug tests throughout the course of employment as well) Have a High School Diploma or GED Be able to walk four to seven miles in all weather conditions. Staff development may process through the use of manuals, our on-line training system, training guides, tests and tools. Follow prescribed process and checklists. Supervise, conduct and coordinate all dining room training programs supported by a strong “train the trainer” program. Learn on the spot coaching sessions to help employees improve performance. Ensure staff conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Monitor appearance of employees to guarantee they meet the department/property uniform and appearance guidelines. Participate with safety committee procedures. When requested, prepare for, attend and actively participate in weekly F & B management meetings. Participate in management development and goal setting meetings with AGM. Present written goals for yourself. Follow up on assigned projects, discuss goals and professional progress regularly. Each shift, conduct informational, educational and inspiring pre-shift meetings with FOH staff. Communicate shift/daily operations information and feedback to AGM and management team through the use of a management daily log. Follow state and federal labor and employment laws. Do not hire anyone under the age of sixteen to work on our property. (see Regional Manager for any state specific exemption) Know and maintain proper Health Department standards and codes. Keep a current Serve Safe certification. Assist to maintain a proactive Worker's Compensation program. This will help to insure the safety and well-being of our employees. In the event an employee is injured, verify a First Report of Injury form is completed within 24 hours of the incident. Notify the AGM, complete and submit all Worker's Compensation forms. Do a proper shift checkout process and reconcile sales to receipts. Reconcile the assigned tills at the end of each shift, and rebuild to par levels. Bundle and record sales to be held in safe for office person to process the next morning. Validate this process is being followed by all who close the restaurant nightly. Equipment, Supplies and Building: Verify bar supplies/product is being received per order and par sheets. Confirm bar and dining room supplies/product are stored, dated, labeled and rotated properly. Ensure Liquor Room and beer coolers are locked and secured. Verify the bar is properly stocked, product checked for freshness and day dot system in place and checked during each shift. Verify and maintain all equipment is in good clean working condition through daily checklists. Verify and maintain the building is in good repair and working condition through daily checklists. Properly clean all floors, carpet areas, walls, baseboards, booths, tables, blinds, lighting fixtures, artifacts, etc. by following daily, weekly and monthly checklists. Confirm restrooms are properly maintained and checked during each shift using scheduled hourly restroom checks. Ensure the proper opening and closing of the restaurant through daily checklists. Guest Hospitality & Service: Assure steps of service are being followed by hosts, bartenders and servers. Maintain a high level of service by constant training and coaching of direct reporting staff. Ensure proper bar recipes are being followed. Help confirm proper staffing levels on each shift per Restaurant Manager and AGM. Learn POS troubleshooting. Help verify staffs' POS skill competency by actively training on all aspects of the system. Maintain proper tabletop, menu appearance and presentation standards. Respond to guest's comments or unsatisfactory reports encountered on each shift. Seek guest satisfaction solutions. Report these incidents to AGM. Qualification Standards: The individual must possess the job knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.
