The Reimbursement Coordinator Team Lead is responsible for collecting and managing account payments related to home health billing. The Team Lead will be responsible for submitting claims, following up with insurance companies for payment fulfillment, and providing training to Reimbursement Coordinator as needed.
This is a fully remote position but the person hired for this role should reside in a state we do business in.
Responsibilities
Serve as a mentor to reimbursement coordinator of collections.
Plan and execute training opportunities for the Non-Medicare billing and collection team; includes group and individual training.
Complete daily billing tasks to minimize reimbursement write-offs.
Monitor and manage assigned accounts for accuracy and efficiency.
Collect necessary information for insurance claims preparation.
Submit clean claims to insurance companies in a timely manner and according to guidelines.
Research, correct, and resubmit rejected or denied claims promptly.
Responsible for incoming patient calls regarding self pay billing/collect payments.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have two years demonstrated experience with Medicare or related billing functions.
Must have demonstrated experience in planning and presenting trainings, individual or large group settings.
Must have demonstrated experience in project management.
Experience with home health & hospice billing and collections is highly preferred.
