Job DescriptionDescription: Responsible for providing quality diagnostic MRI studies in a safe environment along with providing excellent customer service to Resurgens MRI patients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned) MRI scanning Screening of patients and all others entering the MRI area Sending images to PACS Arriving patients in Resurgens' computer system(s) Other duties may be assigned by MRI management Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent is required. Must be ARRT registered in good standing Experience with GE and Siemens magnets preferred SKILLS/ABILITIES Basic Computer skills Outstanding patient care skills required Knowledge of HIPAA regulations PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear. Employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee must occasionally lift, push and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices. * Assumes responsibility and provides direct care for all procedures performed in this area. Ensures that patients have been prepared for procedures. * Provides quality care to patients during procedures. Assists with patient and family education. May support or assist in research and related activities. * Demonstrates an adequate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs. * Assists with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequence. * Acts as a resource for students and junior technologists. Completes procedures in Radiology Information System to ensure billing of exams/procedure. * Prepares billing sheet and submits per guidelines. Responsible for completing all aspects of patient care documentation as required in imaging services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the ARRT. * Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience with one (1) year in MR.
