Perform quality diagnostic orthopedic X-Rays for the ordering providers; ensures patient safety and privacy while providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for providing x-rays ordered by the providers.
Responsible for quality x-rays to include correct image, right or left markers, patient ID, and provider name.
Maintains proper use of x-ray equipment, CR, DR, and PACS.
Proper use of computer for Business purposes only.
Communicates with the x-ray supervisor or director with any concerns or operational questions/problems.
Establishes a professional relationship with the physicians, co-workers and clinical staff.
Responsible for teaching x-ray students how to perform x-rays, patient care, and workflow in the clinical x-ray setting.
Help clinical staff with PACS to include importing and exporting images.
Assist clinical staff when not busy in x-ray.
Maintains EMR imaging duties and medical records release form for CD pick up.
Daily QC of all x-rays taken.
Maintain ordering of x-ray supplies when necessary.
Other duties may be assigned.

**Description**
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in the interventional suite and operating room. Communicates patients' needs and response through appropriate verbal and written communications. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices. Demonstrates an adequate knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs. Assists with performing multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate sequence and time frame. Provides quality care to patients during procedures; prepares patients for procedures with proper sterile technique. Takes precautions to minimize patient and staff exposure to radiation. Assists with patient and family education. May support or assist in research and related activities. Assists in training radiology staff and students. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology. Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience with one (1) year in IR. Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiography preferred. BLS certification required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of the body for diagnostic purposes. Performs routine, portable, operating room or flouoroscope exams. Performs complex radiographic procedures and provides guidance to lower level Radiologic Technologists and students. Positions patient, adjusts equipment to produce high quality x-rays, and explains various procedures to the patient. Takes precautions to minimize staff and patient exposure to radiation. Assists in training radiology staff and students. Assists in radiology quality assurance and quality improvement activities. Effectively communicates with patients, family and other health care team members. Keeps patient and families abreast of patient's progress. Explains procedures to patients/families to reduce their anxiety and to obtain patient cooperation. Assists with patient/family education. Assumes and provides patient care for radiologic procedures. Anticipates potential patient crisis by continually evaluating patient during radiologic procedures. Sets up procedure rooms including equipment and supplies. Assists with and performs multiple radiologic procedures in appropriate timeframe. Ensures that patients have been prepared for procedures. Performs routine, portable, operating room, and fluoroscopic procedures to produce radiologic images. Completes all aspects of patient care documentation following the established charting procedures. Completes procedures in Radiology Information System to ensure billing of exams/procedure. Participates in performance improvement data collection. Follows all safety requirements of the hospital and department. Practices radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills and knowledge of applicable exposure factors to minimize radiation to patients and staff. Uses personal protective equipment as required. May participate on safety committee. Properly operates, mobilizes and positions equipment. Sets exposure factors and uses appropriate techniques and protocols. Responsible for safe operation of radiologic equipment. Cleans equipment and stocks procedure rooms. Troubleshoots equipment problems and advises supervisor of equipment malfunctions.

SHIFT: MON-FRI 8 AM-4:30 PM/ FULL-TIME / 40 HOURS
LOCATION: EMORY UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL MIDTOWN
* Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) for diagnostic purposes.
* Provides quality patient care, positions patient and adjusts equipment to produce high quality images.
* Effectively communicates with patients, family and other health care team members.
* Performs routine, portable, operating room, and fluoroscopic procedures to produce radiologic images.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
* Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience.

Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of the body for diagnostic purposes. Performs routine, portable, operating room or flouoroscope exams. Performs complex radiographic procedures and provides guidance to lower level Radiologic Technologists and students. Positions patient, adjusts equipment to produce high quality x-rays, and explains various procedures to the patient. Takes precautions to minimize staff and patient exposure to radiation. Assists in training radiology staff and students. Assists in radiology quality assurance and quality improvement activities. Effectively communicates with patients, family and other health care team members. Keeps patient and families abreast of patient's progress. Explains procedures to patients/families to reduce their anxiety and to obtain patient cooperation. Assists with patient/family education. Assumes and provides patient care for radiologic procedures. Anticipates potential patient crisis by continually evaluating patient during radiologic procedures. Sets up procedure rooms including equipment and supplies. Assists with and performs multiple radiologic procedures in appropriate timeframe. Ensures that patients have been prepared for procedures. Performs routine, portable, operating room, and fluoroscopic procedures to produce radiologic images. Completes all aspects of patient care documentation following the established charting procedures. Completes procedures in Radiology Information System to ensure billing of exams/procedure. Participates in performance improvement data collection. Follows all safety requirements of the hospital and department. Practices radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills and knowledge of applicable exposure factors to minimize radiation to patients and staff. Uses personal protective equipment as required. May participate on safety committee. Properly operates, mobilizes and positions equipment. Sets exposure factors and uses appropriate techniques and protocols. Responsible for safe operation of radiologic equipment. Cleans equipment and stocks procedure rooms. Troubleshoots equipment problems and advises supervisor of equipment malfunctions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
