Job Description
Sells all products and services offered by the Company. Meet all sales objectives. Handle all administrative aspects of the sale including: completing customer contracts and warranties, pulling products from inventory, accepting customer payments and filing the completed orders. Maintain strong knowledge of all Company products, accessories, pricing plans, promotions, and service features. Maintain knowledge of competitive offers and provide critical market feedback to the Store Manager regarding local competition and product/service needs. Handle service inquiries from customers. Provides efficient, courteous customer service and assistance in all aspects of product offerings and services.

As a SalesConsultant for Berglund Ford Mazda, you will responsible for generating and maximizing sales of new and used vehicles. This is a full-time, commission role in the auto industry located in Salem, Virginia. You will be the face of our dealership and have the opportunity to build relationships with customers, showcase our inventory, and provide exceptional customer service while meeting sales targets.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a commission-only position with a potential monthly earning range of $2500 to $8000, paid semi-monthly. Benefits include a competitive commission structure, ongoing training and development opportunities, and access to our company's health and wellness programs. Paid vacation first year. 4 1/2 day work week. Managed 401k and health insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
- Understand and effectively communicate the features and benefits of our new and used vehicles
- Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives with potential customers
- Manage and maintain an assigned customer database for follow-up and sales opportunities
- Negotiate sales price, including any trade-ins, financing options, and aftermarket add-ons
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and quotas
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and trends in the auto industry
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and efficient sales process
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales process
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in the auto industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Knowledge of financing and leasing options
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
- Proficient with technology and able to learn dealership-specific software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
