About the Role
Dexelance USA is looking for a Lighting Sales Specialist to represent Davide Groppi and support local business development across the NY area. Based in our New York City showroom, Spazio Esperienze, this role engages directly with lighting designers, interior designers, architects, and end users, balancing project-driven and transactional sales.
This position combines creative lighting design expertise with strategic sales execution. The ideal candidate understands how light shapes and defines a space-and is equally passionate about achieving results, nurturing client relationships, and uncovering new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Represent Davide Groppi in the NY metro market, serving as the NYC showroom contact for architects, designers, and specifiers.
Drive showroom sales of Davide Groppi lighting through proactive outreach, presentations, and project-based selling.
Develop showroom new business by identifying and contacting potential clients via showroom visits, calls, and email campaigns.
Manage the showroom sales pipeline from initial inquiry through quotation, order confirmation, and post-sale follow-up.
Support clients with lighting layouts, fixture recommendations, and technical documentation for residential and hospitality projects.
Oversee the Spazio Esperienze NYC showroom, ensuring it remains a welcoming and inspiring environment aligned with the Davide Groppi philosophy.
Participate in events, trade shows, and presentations to strengthen brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
Qualifications
Degree or professional background in Lighting Design, Architecture, or Interior Design.
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in lighting or design sales (ideally architectural or decorative lighting).
Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of lighting layouts, specifications, and control systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and basic rendering or planning tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
A passion for contemporary design and the emotional language of light.
