Position Overview
This role can be based onsite at our Denver, CO or or Ashburn, VA location.
Vantage Global Public Policy is looking for a highly-motivated and self-starting Intern to help drive departmental goals across several ongoing projects. In this internship program, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Vice President, Public Policy, Global and others on the team to assist in establishing Vantage's policy priorities, building relationships with key stakeholders across multiple regions, engaging at the local, regional, and national levels and advocating for Vantage's position on a variety of issues, from tax to workforce and energy policies. This internship program provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field and make meaningful contributions to the team's efforts.
Essential Job Functions
Policy Framework Implementation:
* Assist in implementing the Vantage Global Public Policy Framework and Strategy to achieve 2026 Corporate and Public Policy Goals.
Research and Monitoring:
* Support Global Public Policy with projects and assignments as needed, including researching relevant public policies, monitoring developments in public policy, engaging team members and stakeholders to determine company's priorities, positions, and risks.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Engage with internal and external business partners to understand key issues, create opportunities to influence, and implement strategies to shape outcomes.
Content Management:
* Build and maintain timely and relevant content for our Knowledge Base, Legislative Information Management System, and Issues Tracker, including positions, public statements, official correspondence, and contact reports.
Meeting Support and Reporting:
* Attend internal and external meetings as directed on behalf of the Global Public Policy team and provide reports to relevant team members.
* Draft memoranda on key public policy issues affecting Vantage; prepare slide decks and other materials for internal and external meetings as needed.
Collaboration and Coordination:
* Work with Vice President, Public Policy, Global and others on the team to ensure accurate and timely tracking of issues around the world.

Job Requirements
Education:
* Currently enrolled in a 4-year university pursuing a degree in political science, economics, or engineering with an interest in law and policy, or similar field.

* Minimum GPA requirement - 3.0
* Previous Internship experience in public policy, public affairs, or government relations is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities
The Lead/ Principal ASME Codes and Standards Engineer will:
Plan, lead, and enable the ASME Section III projects of multi-discipline system designs, including coaching and mentoring other engineers through execution of the work
Take a lead role in client and stakeholder interactions by effectively communicating technical results, presenting at industry conferences, and engaging with owners, certificate holders, fabricators, regulators and other external stakeholders.
Develop solutions for a range of technical challenges across various projects including but not limited to:
Perform activities under the scope of a Section III, Appendix XXIII Certifying Engineer
Section III Division 1 Classes 1, 2, 3, and Core Support Structures (CSS) component design and construction, including application of elastic, simplified elastic-plastic, and inelastic analysis methods using both design by analysis and design by rule, as applicable.
Section III Division 5 Classes A, B, and SM component construction, including experience in elevated temperature design using elastic, elastic-perfectly plastic, and inelastic analysis methods.
Section III, Division 5, Class SN non-metallic design and construction, including graphite core components.
Perform technical reviews of internal and external work products.
As experienced staff, support of team and project management responsibilities will be included.
Qualifications

Education
