BENEFIT COORDINATOR/MANAGEMENT TRAINEE ROLE DUTIESWe are looking for an energetic, results-oriented individual to be an integral part of Clarks business. In this highly visible role, you will have significant responsibility and make an impact on our business.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Administer Leave of Absence Program
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all internal sick and leave programs and how they coordinate with federal, state, and local jurisdictional leave and state pay. Respond to procedural leave and disability questions based on Company policy, federal/state laws, and insurance plans.
Evaluate all leave requests and coordinate with external Leave Administrator vendor; determine eligibility and recommend appropriate action within Company policy, ensuring compliance with leave laws and insurance plans.
Manage the leave tracking process for accuracy and provides timely notifications to employees using HRIS (Workday) and/or other communication methods. Process timecards and payment reconciliations for employees on leave.
Monitor the required payment of benefit contributions during an unpaid leave of absence.
Generate monthly reports and ad hoc reports as requested.
Conduct periodic company-wide Leave training sessions.
Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance Workday functionality.
Administer job accommodations under ADAAA.
Evaluate all job accommodation requests; coordinate review, decision, and timely response with external Leave/ADAAA Administrator.
Partner with HR Business Partner, employees manager, and employee as needed.
Coordinate with LTD benefit vendor, if applicable.
Generate monthly reports as requested.
Serve as Health & Welfare Benefits point of contact for several Clark entities with emphasis on:
Processing new enrollment, life events, and terminations (COBRA).
Responding to general employee inquires.
Resolving claims issues.
Participate in monthly Benefits Overview presentation for new hires
Background
3-5 years of Benefits experience with Leave, Disability, and ADAAA emphasis
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local sick, disability, and leave laws (e.g., California, DC, San Francisco, Washington State)
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and partner with employees across the company and at multiple levels
HRIS experience, preferably Workday
SHRM-CP/SCP, S/PHR, or related/similar certification preferred
