Our unit operates on an acute crisis stabilization model, ensuring that patients receive the urgent care they need to regain stability and well-being.
Our multidisciplinary team approach brings together a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and Acute Care Technicians (ACTs). Our collaborative effort ensures that each patient receives personalized and holistic care tailored to their unique needs.
We have a dedicated 10 bed geriatric space that focuses on dementia and patients with cognitive impairment. We have 28 other beds for adults experiencing depression and other mental illnesses. Patients on our unit typically stay for an average of 5-7 days, during which they benefit from the expertise and support of our dedicated team.
Our staffing model is designed to provide optimal care around the clock, with RNs, LPNs, ACTs, therapists, and social workers. We are available during day, evening, and night shifts. We offer twelve-hour shifts, with a twelve-hour shift every third weekend and a weekend option for those who prefer it.
We typically maintain an average patient-to-staff ratio of 1:5. While we prefer nurses with psychiatric/behavioral health experience, we warmly welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Obtains, organizes and maintains therapy equipment, utilizing appropriate resources for use and maintenance in order to prolong life of equipment and safety.
Assists therapists in transferring and treating patients as well as safe transporting of patients to and from therapy sessions.
Cleans all therapy equipment and treatment rooms/supplies as well as keeping equipment and treatment areas in an organized and safe manner according to state health department requirements.
Maintains and oversees the supply and proper storage of oxygen tanks and provides yearly and intermittent inservices/ education on oxygen tank set up and care as needed for rehab staff.
Monitors and maintains supplies for therapy staff on rehab with ordering needed supplies in a timely manner with the supervision of the therapy supervisor/ program director.
Maintains the parameters of safe temperatures and care on the therapy hot packs, ice packs, refrigerator (as needed), and paraffin bath keeping required and up to date logs in reportable state at any time requested.
Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
Assists Nurses Aides in morning bathing and dressing to prepare patients for day.
Assists the patients with activities of daily living (e.g. bathing, dressing, etc).
Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:
Educate and inservice staff members in equipment use and care.
Orient and train new staff members of job duties and equipment care.
Job Specifications:
Education: High School graduate. Successful completion of RehabCare Group rehabilitation technician training program or equivalent training.
Experience: On the job training provided by a registered therapist. Experience in working in a health care setting is preferred; experience with adult/geriatric population and /or serving people with physical disabilities is also desirable.
