Skills, Education and Experience:

Salary: $58,240 - $70,720 annually
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $58,240 to $70,720 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
Working Conditions: Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Temperatures of working environments may vary from cold (possibly below 20 degrees F) up to very warm (possibly above 90 degrees F). Work may be strenuous at times and may include bending conduit, lifting heavy objects, climbing, working from elevations, standing, pulling, pushing, stooping, and / or kneeling for extended periods.
Working Hours: Standard working shift is daylight, Generally 7:00AM until 3:30PM, Monday thru Friday. Overtime and emergency call-ins will be necessary on occasion to meet customer requirements or address a facility needs, and emergency or urgent situation.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

Replaces faulty electrical components of equipment (relays, switches, motors, etc.)
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, etc.
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and components of equipment
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of failures and eliminating equipment problems
Assist with projects, installation of new equipment and modification of existing equipment
Follow the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and all company policies and procedures (Environmental, Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, etc.)
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess a high school diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of electrician experience working around heavy machinery.
Ability to work weekends, overtime, holidays as needed, short notice shift coverage, and ability to work 2nd shift (2 PM - 10 PM) with assistance with working 1st and 3rd shift, as needed
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution
Seven years of Electrician experience and/or apprenticeship experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
Certified and licensed Electrician in the state of California
Critical thinking, problem solving, customer service, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to communicate effectively throughout and work with cross-functional teams
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Recent experience working at a mine, quarry, cement plant or similar industry.

5. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
6. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
7. Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
8. Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
9. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
10.Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
11.Record repairs and maintenance performed
