Install, wire, and troubleshoot all electrical components. Assemble a variety of different electrical components. Duties and Responsibilities: * Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled. * Assemble harnesses, cables, switch panels, circuit boards, and a variety of different electrical components. * Troubleshoot both 12 V DC and 110V AC circuitry. * Troubleshoot all systems. * Repair defects. * Report repetitive quality issues. * Be able to use hand and air tools as required. * Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, orders, or reports. * Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits. * Test product to ensure conformance to specifications. * Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to drawings specifications * Read and interpret instructions, assemble parts and use tools to fit electronic components. Responsibilities * Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all Lucas Milhaupt employees. * Identify, troubleshoot and repair problems in electrical wiring and systems up to 480 volts. * Accept, plan and complete assignments for repair or installation of electrical equipment, building systems and all plant production equipment. * Install conduit, panel boards and all related fittings including controls for power, heat and light in accordance with Local and National code. * Work from wiring diagrams, making diagrams if needed. * Using and maintaining all test equipment, instruments, measuring devices and controls. * Assist engineering with design of new equipment controls, PLC controls, building electrical systems and power distribution systems. * Troubleshoot equipment program control problems through utilization of computer PLC interface or laptop computer. * Operate and maintain plant systems, including air compressors, pumps and general facility support systems. * Repair and maintain production machinery. * Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications of sequence of electrical operations. * Perform other duties as assigned.
