Job summary: The Production Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing and leading a team of direct labor associates in the manufacture and assembly of products, components and parts for custom fire and rescue vehicles. The Supervisor is accountable for meeting production schedules, cost targets and quality standards. This position has great emphasis on highly skilled processes, complex assemblies and testing. The Supervisor must possess a high level of technical skill to assist operators in troubleshooting and problem resolution. The Supervisor must also lead the team in safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
Responsibilities:
* Daily assignments of hourly production personnel in order to meet schedule commitments and cycle time requirements. Prioritizes and manages the customer workflow within the department to ensure timely and efficient task completion in accordance with the customer schedule.
* Accountability for ensuring all quality, regulatory and ISO requirements are met. Responsible to make sure appropriate actions are taken to meet all requirements, including stopping production if appropriate.
* Reviews all work within the department to assure technical accuracy of the work meets customer requirements, engineering design expectations as documented in shop orders, engineering prints, bills of material, work instructions and quality documentation. Assures all workmanship standards are met.
* Responsible for safety and environmental compliance of the department. Holds departmental employees accountable for following all OSHA and company policies and regulations. Actively participates in safety improvement activities.
* Responsible and accountable for maintaining accurate and timely attendance records of employees in the department.
* Responsible for departmental compliance and enforcement of all company policies and procedures. Ensures consistent and effective employee relations. Recommends rewards/recognition as appropriate. Initiates necessary disciplinary actions as required.
* Provides technical expertise for problem resolution. Liaisons with appropriate departments such as Materials, Engineering, Sales Administration, Product Management to determine root cause and corrective actions.
* Provides input and recommendation on staffing requirements and selection of departmental personnel. May assist in developing area budget goals for personnel, equipment, supplies, etc...
* Responsible for the training and development of all departmental personnel. This includes defining the job function requirements, training plans for employees to develop the required skills, and maintaining the department qualification and training skill matrix. Required to evaluate employees in terms of skill set and other department/company requirements.
* Actively leads continuous improvement activities within the departments. Leads the implementation of Lean foundational blocks of Identification of Waste, 5S, Standard Work, and Visual Management. Participates in Kaizen Events and takes on roles of subject matter expert where appropriate. Participates in value stream map creation and goal setting for the department product lines.
Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
* High School Diploma. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Minimum 5 years work related experience, 2 years in Supervisory or Leadership capacity
* Practical experience including electrical, mechanical, welding, metal fabrication, etc...
* Experience in vehicle production or custom manufacturing environment
* Detailed knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes
* Thorough understanding and application of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with demonstrated team building and conflict resolution ability. Excellent employee and human relations skills.

The E-ONE Supply Chain OpEx Leaders will be focused on leading continuous improvement projects that support the business goals of E-ONE through the Goal Deployment Process (GDP). Improvement projects will involve departments such as Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations. The OpEx Leader will facilitate improved outcomes of processes to drive efficiencies, reduce cost, and increase customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* The OpEx Leader will partner with the Supply Chain team to identify, facilitate, and execute improvement initiatives, while leading cross-functional supply chain projects from initiation through execution and successful closure.
* Analyze supply chain operations and propose improvements in procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
* Conduct quarterly project pipeline sessions to continuously drive a healthy pipeline of savings initiatives.
* Work closely with procurement, logistics, manufacturing, finance, IT, and external suppliers to achieve project goals.
* Run analytics on ERP system (BAAN) for matters such as economic order quantity, safety stock levels, ect. Build a sustainable tool to update this quarterly.
* Create an monitor KPIs and project metrics to ensure alignment with supply chain objectives.
* Prepare and present reports on project performance, cost savings, and ROI.
* Lead continuous improvement projects through focused Kaizens to achieve measured results and targeted hard savings.
* Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies. Put in an executive summary that can be circulated throughout the organization.
* Help support and develop a culture that promotes operational excellence and continuous improvements.
* Must be able to effectively communicate the scope of projects and report to upper management with weekly status reports.
* Coordinate, monitor, and drive project activities, manage project risks, issues, changes, and resources, and take corrective actions when necessary. Decides and initiates action.

* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is desired.

SCOPE: Responsible for the movement, storage, and verification of material in accordance with policies and procedures. Perform clerical duties requiring some analysis and the ability to exercise good judgment. May have routine contact with customers, suppliers, and other departments. Job summary: The QRT (Quality Response Team) Technician inspects and prepares manufactured products for customer delivery/shipment, demonstrates the functionality, operation of apparatus for customers and dealers during inspection. The QRT Technician will perform postproduction work including clearing customer lists, PPAO/PPRW's and is responsible for ensuring that the accuracy of work completed meets customer requirements as well as Company requirements. Responsibilities:
* Perform QRT Process as defined by accounting and revenue recognition.
* Act as advocate for our customers to ensure products conform to requirements.
* Provide daily support to customers and the delivery center.
* Perform pre-delivery activities, including multi-point inspection of apparatus, functionality checks of equipment and taking photos of all apparatus.
* Disassemble components and diagnose problems to determine the extent of repairs and parts needed.
* Pre-assemble position, mount, and install any range of required fixtures, hardware, and accessories on units to meet specifications.
* Test installed items as required, determine causes of failures, and reassemble or refit subassemblies where components are found to be faulty or improperly installed.
* Will be required to perform basic fabrication, cutting, material preparation, electrical work, paint touch-up, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Education:

Job Summary:
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair plant equipment and machinery. Perform various aspects of building maintenance, machinery maintenance and record keeping. Maintain and repair equipment, building and ground, including vehicles, fabrication, general production tools, equipment and electrical power used to run that equipment. SCOPE: Perform welds on heavy gauge steel components to exacting specifications, as part of the manufacture of large, custom, special purpose vehicles, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Maintain welding certifications to ensure compliance with E-ONE/NFPA specification.
* Work from shop orders, specifications, prints and instructions.
* Review material and product requirements; ensure that parts are cut and prepared as prescribed.
* Set parts in assembly fixture, position, layout and clamp in place in specified orientation to ensure dimensional accuracy.
* Select welding parameters per specified weld procedures. Work in teams and follow work instructions to ensure that heat is contained in limited area to minimize unit distortion.
* Fit, tack, and weld joints in specific locations with designated welding procedure specifications and configuration to ensure compliance with internal standards.
* Manipulate large, heavy units as required to accommodate efficient welding operations.
* Make visual and dimensional check of work and document as required. Move work to succeeding work area to maintain workflow. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems.
* Support training and orientation programs for new and transferring employees and report on results.
* The welder is solely responsible for his or her weld quality, which will be inspected by co-workers, E-One Quality Department, or an outside third party agency. The company will utilize audits and operator quality tracking to ensure consistency in quality of welds, at E-One.

SCOPE:
Meet requirements for a Mechanical Technician and operate at the highest level of competency. Must have the knowledge and ability to understand how to complete manufacturing of fire emergency vehicles from customer written orders and prints.
