HOW YOU ADD VALUE Functional: * Lead, manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing direction, establishing priorities and goals, and ensuring resources are available to accomplish goals * Implement and document policies, procedures, processes and controls as needed for all areas of department responsibility * Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures * Assist with internal and external audits and serve as primary liaison to auditing firms * Oversee production of standardized financial and management reports across all asset classes * Coordinate the collection of required monthly financial information from asset class teams * Manage processes and ensure all accounting, month-end/quarter-end deliverables and reporting are completed timely and accurately * Support the asset acquisition and disposition processes conducted by portfolio companies and Blackstone * Coordinate activities with portfolio companies external accounting service providers as needed * Provide guidance and direction on accounting policies utilized by Blackstone and Portfolio Companies * Assist accounting teams in addressing different accounting requirements of Blackstone Real Estate Funds (private entities, public entities, joint ventures, REIT) * Manage the process to prepare reports required by lenders subject to financing as needed * Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities * Identify and implement a training plan to enable team members to support multiple asset classes and functions Relationship Management: * Accountable to Blackstone and its real estate Portfolio Company's for timely and accurate reporting * Lead initiatives to ensure smooth business partner experience across the team * Serve as the primary daily point of contact for Revantage business partners and Blackstone * Respond to business partner inquiries and commit to deliverables by leveraging resources across the team * Partner with senior managers to identify and drive external relationships with the team's key contacts and stakeholders WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE A successful Sr. AVP of Fund Accounting combines intellectual agility, precision, and a relentless work ethic with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights, communicate across all levels of leadership, and navigate dynamic organizations with strategic vision and emotional intelligence. WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE Our Valuations Interns are hired for a 10-week immersive experience where they learn the fundamentals of portfolio analytics and valuations in addition to experiencing the culture of Revantage. During the internship, individuals will receive training and work on a variety of projects that directly impact the business. Perform basic repairs and maintenance of building and equipment such as chairs, tables, doors, light fixtures, floor tiles, walls, pipes/plumbing, vents, ceiling tiles, picnic tables, awnings, and move file cabinets, hang pictures, banners, and decorations. Help keep facilities and grounds free of trash and debris. Analyze, troubleshoot, and research mechanical issues to repair and/or provide recommendations to solve issues. Meet with vendors who provide maintenance to HVAC systems, fire, backflow, plumbing, electrical, security, and generator systems. Ensure routine maintenance to the HVAC systems (belt, filter, and thermostat replacements), and assist with specific maintenance to the systems. Assists in preparing construction specifications and project plans. Directs contracted projects to ensure adherence, follows all specifications. Assists management in solving issues with service providers. Coordinates all facility inspections; report findings and coordinates required repairs and/or replacements. Maintains and controls adequate building temperatures utilizing software systems at sites where applicable. Work with maintenance vendors for mowing, trees, shrubs, bedding areas, and snow removal. Maintain and use required personal protective equipment at all times. Follow all safety protocols, regulations and company policies while driving. Upon completion of service, review invoice and explain work completed (in person, by phone or by email) with customer to confirm satisfaction. Communicate any issues, concerns or outstanding items to office for scheduled follow-up. Always maintain positive attitude with customers, fellow employees, and supervisors. Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, CSRs, and customers to always ensure complete alignment during the service repair or replacement process. Work with and train any helpers which may be assigned to work with you. Maintain company-specified tools, equipment and inventory in your truck for most cost-effective delivery of quality service. Attend department meetings and company or vendor training as required. Maintain necessary licenses or certifications and complete required continuing education. Always exhibit professional conduct, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles. Identify and immediately (first opportunity, but always within one hour) report any damage to customer's property. Clean and clear the work area after job has been completed. Maintain and use required personal protective equipment at all times. Follow all safety protocols, regulations and company policies while driving. Always wear company uniform and maintain well-groomed appearance in accordance with company policies. Be available to serve periodic on-call rotation assignments (per schedule approved by service manager) necessary to ensure quality coverage for customers.
