**About the Role:** As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing and procurement activities specifically for the Sales department. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will partner closely with sales leadership and internal stakeholders to develop and implement tailored procurement strategies that align with sales objectives, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure high-quality services and partnerships. You will be expected to have deep expertise in Sales, Marketing, professional services, and other indirect categories. This will be a hybrid in-office role for candidates who can plan to be in the New York City office for approximately 2 days per week. This role will be responsible for analyzing, documenting and monitoring risk and compliance posture across our existing program. MongoDB aligns its practices to multiple compliance frameworks in order to support our customer's needs. The Server Security team builds features in the core MongoDB Server that enable database users to secure their data, such as TLS and X.509 certificate management, at-rest data encryption, authentication and authorization systems, and the new Queryable Encryption offering. Platform Engineering is the department within SRE that is responsible for a range of critical infrastructure and operational functions that support the broader engineering organization. Among these are our multi-cloud-provider Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, load balancing (including our public-facing edge and internal service mesh), and observability and alerting systems. The Deployments team designs and maintains our continuous delivery infrastructure, ensuring reliable code deployment from development through production for all engineering teams. This infrastructure is primarily composed of Argo Workflows and ArgoCD.
