Mr Van Wyk brings over 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to the Reven team, including research, development, drug design and formulation.

Originally from South Africa, he directly oversaw the development of the first automated manufacturing facility for sterile intravenous fluids in South Africa which was ultimately awarded a “Technology Top 100” award by the Engineering Association of SA for innovation in the Medical/Pharmaceutical field. Mr. van Wyk was also a founding member of the South African Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His groundbreaking research for new therapies in the treatment of PAD, Endothelial Dysfunction, CLI, Raynaud’s Disease, Buerger’s Disease and Coronary Arterial Disease are the foundation of the Reven product line.

James D. Ervin is a Technology Consultant at Flexsys Inc and Chief Technology Officer at Reven Pharmaceuticals Inc and is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has worked as Technical Expert - Powertrain Systems Development, Six Sigma Black Belt at FORD MOTOR CO; Delegate Representing Ford Motor Company at MForesight Alliance for Manufacturing Foresight; and Graduate Student instructor at University of Michigan. James studied at University of Michigan between 1992 and 1999 and Lawrence Technological University between 1987 and 1992.

Mr. Hoffman brings with him more than two decades of top Fortune 100 corporate executive experience, having held numerous executive and operational leadership roles. Most recently, as Chief of Design for a medical device company where he launched the company’s flagship product. In his role, he helped successfully negotiate multiple licensing deals with two of the largest pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Hoffman previously served as Executive Creative Director for CNBC Business News, where he created and developed new programming for the network. He has a proven track record of success; as a nationally recognized award-winning producer, he transformed strategy into reality to achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, Mr. Hoffman led numerous shows' branding and production development, most notably CNBC’s Mad Money with Jim Cramer, Fast Money and Options Action.

Mr. Halverson is known as an exceptional leader with effective management and team building skills. As an experienced banking executive, he has an impressive 30-plus year track record of opening and growing banking organizations, with an emphasis in management and business development for community banking.

In 2009, Halverson co-founded a privately held finance company with a focus on providing advisory services to federally regulated financial institutions across the United States. Since 2014, Halverson has served as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of American Sky Financial, a Commercial and Residential Mortgage company serving community banks and developers nationwide.

Halverson’s involvement in charitable organizations includes previously held board positions for the Levitt Pavilion Foundation, Eagle Valley Family Assistance Fund, the Communications Board for the American Bankers Association, and Habitat for Humanity. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Moorhead State University.
