The StaffAccountant I position will assist with many different functions within the Accounting Group. The core tasks will include monthly/quarterly revenue and COGS adjustments, assisting with global lease accounting, posting various plant and headquarter accounting entries and other accruals, commission accounting, Concur expense report accounting, assisting with GR/IR maintenance and accrued freight, financial statement compilation, and completing various account reconciliations. This position will also assist with internal and external audit information requests and physical inventory counts.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
Assist with GR/IR Maintenance and accrued freight
Post various entries during the close period and assist with financial statement preparation
Margin review and revenue recognition monthly/quarterly adjustments
Completion of monthly account reconciliations and maintenance/organization of master file
Assist with global lease accounting
Assist with physical inventories
Maintenance and payment of internal and external commissions
Review/approval of expense reports
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university (Accounting or Finance)
0-2 years of accounting or finance experience is required
SAP experience is preferred

The Accounting Manager will oversee the Global General Ledger, lead & manage the timely global monthly financial close process and be responsible for preparation of global consolidated and consolidating financial statement packages & related disclosures. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

Oversee integration into SAP system and process improvements
Conduct annual policy & procedure updates
Oversee timely completion of US Census
Oversee the preparation & distribution of global inventory and accounts receivable reports
Lead and manage the global monthly financial close process which includes preparation of global consolidated financial statements
Preparation of required financial notes and disclosures for Kuraray corporate consolidation on a quarterly/annual basis
Lead Internal & External quarterly/annual audits
Supervising and providing requested documentation for the bi-annual external audits as well as internal audits and walkthroughs
Responsible for the certification of assigned internal controls
Ensure adherence to J-SOX as required by Kuraray corporate
Ensure all policies and controls are documented, maintained, and followed
Oversee team of accountants ensuring that they are properly trained; work is timely, reviewed & accurate
Promote continuous process improvement
Oversee:
Annual physical inventories
Payroll & benefit accounting
Cash application
Derivative accounting
Intercompany accounting
Journal entry and account reconciliation process (including review and sign-off)
T&E/Concur expense reporting system & policy; rebate tracking
Revenue review for proper recognition
Fixed asset accounting including global capital reporting
Project Systems Accounting for the Company's large equipment construction projects
Global Lease Accounting
Daily product costing
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (Accounting of Finance)
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent is preferred
3-5 years of supervisory experience is required
5-7 years of financial reporting experience is required
7-10 years of general accounting experience is required
A CPA license/certification is required

The Role
Senior Associates in our Private Accounting Solutions practice participate in the accounting planning and consulting process for a variety of clients, including executives, entrepreneurs, and business entities.
Senior Associates can expect to:
Identify complex accounting and financial reporting issues, this includes producing and reviewing financial statements on a GAAP basis and Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting (OCBOA);

Assist Controller with monthly/weekly forecast updates based on volume and margins
Accounts Receivable and Collections
Review AR aging bi-weekly and meet with Accounting Manager/Collections specialist to discuss all open AR and a plan for follow up and resolution to open balances
Sales Tax oversight and reporting
Oversee sales tax code setup and maintenance
Work with 3rd party sales tax filing partner to resolve any sales tax issues or questions
Monthly reconciliation and reporting of sales tax due to 3rd party filing partner
Periodic Forecasting and Budgeting of Business Results.
Partner with Operations, Sales and Controller to prepare periodic business forecast updates, including annual three-year plans.
Assist Controller with preparation of the annual budget.
Special Projects - as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum five (5) years accounting/finance experience and working knowledge of inventory accounting.
Effective verbal and written communication skills enabling the individual to work effectively with various levels of organizational management, and across functional areas in both the corporate office and operating locations.
Demonstrate high level of proficiency with computer operation and software systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and various modules within the corporation's ERP system.
Hands on experience with month end and year end close process
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel to plant and inventory storage locations - estimated 15-20%
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and generate accurate and timely results.

StaffAccountant Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1 3 years of accounting experience preferred; internship experience considered.
Working knowledge of GAAP and basic financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in spreadsheets preferred.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Turkish language proficiency preferred due to interaction with international affiliates.

About Us
We are a growing electrical contracting company seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our full accounting cycle. If youre detail-oriented, experienced in construction accounting, and proficient with Sage 300 (Timberline), wed love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Manage general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Run weekly payroll with job costing (local 3)
Maintain accurate job cost data and create job cost reports
Prepare payroll taxes, sales tax, and annual 1099s
Oversee vendor compliance (W-9s, COIs)
Assist with audits and provide financial reports to management
Coordinate with project Managers and outside contractors
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
Qualifications
5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience from an electrical contractor
Must have experience with Sage 300 (Timberline)
Construction experience preferred
Strong knowledge of job costing and construction billing
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
