Responsibilities: * Perform work on all phases of various architectural projects including design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, design review, coordination, and correlation of construction drawings. * Prepare schematics, design development, and construction documents. Develop, modify, and review production drawings and edit project narratives and specifications. * Research materials to determine the appropriate selection for the project. * Plan, coordinate, and deliver projects from the initial programming stages through to construction administration. * Review construction submittals and assist the project manager in construction administration. * Analyze client problems and develop architectural solutions to those problems. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture. * Minimum of 2 years applicable experience in large Corporate/ Commercial design projects * Demonstrated experience using REVIT, proficiency is required * Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. * Competency with Sketchup and PhotoShop software is a plus * Ability to interact professionally and comfortably with a variety of project stakeholders such as clients, AHJ's, contractors, design team, etc. * Strong verbal and writing communication skills * Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with project stakeholders. Traffic Signal Systems Timing Engineer - Tampa, FL VHB's growing Tampa, FL team is seeking an experienced Traffic Signal Systems Timing Engineer to join our Transportation practice. The successful candidate will have experience in traffic operations, with traffic signal retiming experience. The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Highway Engineer III for our Transportation Practice in Tampa, FL! This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. This position is responsible for marketing and managing roadway design and transportation projects of varying size for FDOT and other clients, including local municipalities, as well as assisting discipline and area leaders in continuing to build the transportation engineering practice in Tampa, FL. The successful candidate will have experience performing diverse and complex work tasks in areas of engineering, mentoring, and management. Additional responsibilities include client communication/management; managing subconsultants; mentoring roadway/highway staff; coordinating with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications; performing quality control on deliverables; monitoring and meeting project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects; and supporting marketing and business development initiatives.
