In 1962, Bob Rogers became the general manager of MEC and under his leadership, the company moved away from tooling design to focus more broadly on product development engineering services.
In 1967, Bob Rogers and Frank Freels purchased Frontier Engineering Service Company and renamed it Rogers, Freels and Associates (RFA).
In 1970, RFA purchased Minnesota Engineering Company, forming RFA/MN Engineering.
In 2012, 50 years after Bob Rogers joined the company, RFA/MN Engineering was renamed to RFA Engineering.
