* Works under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* Minimum 1-3 years' experience.
* Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
* Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Detailed Description:

Engineering Division
The Engineering Division provides project and construction management, engineering design, facility inspection, contracting, code compliance review and permitting services for all the Port's facilities, including piers, structures, buildings, cranes, utilities, public and private areas, development projects, streets and walkways. The Engineering Division assists and coordinates with other City departments to ensure an appropriate transition between the City and Port jurisdiction.
The Port is undertaking several complex marine-related and infrastructure projects, requiring project management office staff support through all phases of project delivery. The Port's Engineering Divisions Project Management Office (PMO) will support delivery of approximately $275 million of Port-led projects over the next three years. Sample projects include Mission Bay Ferry Landing, Pier 80 Improvements, Pier 90 Silo Demolition Project and a variety of infrastructure and facility repair projects of varying sizes.
Job Description
Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Engineering, the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager leads the implementation of project management procedures, oversees the execution of Port capital projects, and supervises a team of project managers (PM I and PM II) delivering marine-related and Port infrastructure projects.
Essential duties of the PMO Manager:
Executes projects and manages a staff of PM I and PM II to complete Port capital projects.
Oversees projects throughout the planning, design, permitting and construction phases with the goal of delivering all phases within the respective schedules and budgets.
Coordinates and supports project design and analysis.
Supports construction for marine and non-marine related projects and monitor progress.
Develops project progress reports and provide regular updates to the Engineering Deputy Director.
Participates in the development of design and assessment criteria, analysis strategy and assumptions and project alternatives.
Provides leadership in the development and implementation of alternative project delivery methods.
Provides support between the design team and PMO, represent at review boards.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or planning plus eight (8) years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience,

Bachelor's degree in another field plus ten (10) years of responsible experience in a field directly related to the project,
OR
Twelve (12) years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project,
OR
California registration as professional engineer or architect, plus four (4) years of project coordination experience.
License
Possession of a valid California driver's license (to be presented at time of appointment). Employees must be insurable under the Port's automobile liability insurance. Insurability must be maintained throughout employment.

As a Project Engineering Technician I for Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE), you will be working under the immediate supervision/direction of a registered professional engineer. You will work as a team member alongside site managers and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services. Our special Inspections technicians play a critical role in the quality assurance for every construction project no matter how large or small. Special Inspections Technicians actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing along with the continuous monitoring of general contractor activities, which may include but are not limited to onsite testing and reporting of earthwork and soil construction; foundation/subgrade evaluation; reinforcing steel; concrete placements; masonry as well as asphalt testing. Special Inspections Technicians are also responsible for accurately preparing daily reports for submission to the assigned project engineer. These reports not only include your test results summary, but detailed construction site observations as well.
Minimum Job Requirements
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Valid Driver's License with Clean Motor Vehicle Driving history (3 years)
Ability to work outdoors on a construction site in all seasons and weather conditions for extended periods of time.
