General Responsibilities: Evaluate and interpret subsurface field and sampling data including soil and groundwater to develop conclusions concerning the environmental and geologic site conditions. Generate subsurface maps and cross-sections and collaborate with engineering and environmental scientist staff on projects. Oversee field monitoring and testing of soils including boring investigations and soil type classification. Interpret soil, bedrock and groundwater elevation and quality data. Prepare written plans and reports related to site investigations, assessments and remediation activities. Projects may include construction projects focusing on earthwork and structural foundations; well design and sampling; environmental assessments including Phase I/II site assessments; seismic risk assessments.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
* Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
* Demonstrate quality practices and acumen.
* Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
* Proficient Geologist/ Hydrogeologist responsible for conducting site testing and making recommendations for systems design on smaller projects of minimal complexity.
* May assist more senior Geologists on large, more complex projects.
* Performs site visits, field observations and field data collection or assignments.
* Implements technical requirements to complete client projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
* Responsible for developing written proposals to clients for approval by senior level professionals.
* Evaluates moderately complex laboratory and field data and assembles in written reports.
* May serve as team member or participate in meetings and communications with client pertaining to specific projects/tasks.
* May oversee work performed by lower level Geologists/Hydrogeologists.
* Works under the supervision of a Professional Geologist (PG) and a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field and a minimum of 3 years' related experience.
* Master's degree preferred.
* Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
* Certification in field of expertise preferred.

Job Summary:
This position manages the environmental process to ensure compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations.
Ensures timely completion of projects and manages project data tracking, advises management of environmental risk and suggestions.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:
Project management, NEPA process, decision making & approval responsibility, financial budget management, contract management, coordination (agencies, tribes, stakeholders and the public),consultant management. Provide advisory and legal compliance. Uses specialized environmental expertise, reviews and comments on environmental reports to ensure legally-defensible compliance of federal (including United States Code and Code of Federal Regulations, state including Arizona Revised Statutes), and local ordinances to protect ADOT from risk. Manages environmental documents in compliance with 326/327 MOUs.
Provides project-specific knowledge and serves as the environmental expert through the project development process. Coordinates concerns and issues with project team members, stakeholders and agencies and negotiates resolutions. Assists in the development of ADOT planning studies, serves as technical advisory committees and assists in education outreach efforts to other groups within ADOT. Reviews project engineering plans, project assessments, design concept reports, project specifications and other civil/roadway engineering documents for environmental NEPA compliance. Reviews Clean Water Act permits, for compliance, constructability and content accuracy and submit to the appropriate authorizing agency on behalf of the District Engineers.
Generates project status reports for management's use for Project Review Board, coordinates changes in project schedules to management for project programming purposes. Presents at public meetings and hearings. Drives ADOT vehicle in the course and scope of business. Attends training classes to remain current and proficient with regard to continuing changing environmental laws and regulations. Educates ADOT and other agency personnel on areas of expertise. Encourages project streamlining/accelerated project delivery actions AND may have overnight travel during the course and scope of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, aquifer testing, geophysical investigations, and remediation system O&M;
Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation;
Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses;
Groundwater modeling and 3D data visualization;

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Geologist to support a diverse range of environmental projects in Texas and surrounding states. Providing support during the implementation of remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination at sites regulated under federal and state programs.

Minimum Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college in geology, hydrology, or hydrogeology (advanced degrees preferred).

Possession of a Texas Geoscientist-in-Training (G.I.T.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.G.) certification.
40-hour HAZWOPER training and certification.
Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
Experience in multi-media environmental sampling. PFAS sampling experience a plus.
Working knowledge of and demonstrated experience in working on Texas Risk Reduction and Petroleum Storage Tank Program sites and on Federal CERCLA and/or RCRA sites.
Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (environmental consulting experience preferred).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Valid US driver's license.

Summary: BLE's Greenville, South Carolina office is seeking a technically skilled Environmental Project Manager to support the expansion of our Environmental Services Department. The individual will be responsible for conducting, directing, and/or overseeing various environmental-related projects under direction of BLE's Environmental Department Manager. This self-motivated candidate will be engaged in a variety of projects, interact directly with clients, is detail-orientated, and requires minimum direction from senior management.
Responsibilities:
The individual's primary responsibility will be to support the overall execution of environmental projects. Projects may include executing and/or directing staff with Phase I/II ESAs, brownfield assessments, hazardous materials assessments, underground storage tank assessments, feasibility studies, remediation design, and reporting activities. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintain a safe working environment for BLE staff and associated subcontractors
Perform and coordinate a wide variety of project activities involving environmental investigations and remediation while producing high quality results within the time constraints of each project
Review and interpret environmental data; evaluate quality assurance/quality control data; identify data gaps; prepare or peer review a variety of proposals and reports
Develop scopes of work, schedules, costs, and health and safety plans for projects in accordance with ASTM, RCRA, CERCLA and other federal and state programs
Working knowledge of SCDHEC, NCDEQ, and GAPED Brownfields programs, underground storage tank programs, and State Trust Fund reimbursement programs
Evaluate remedial alternatives and assist clients with developing cost-effective strategies to achieve project closure and to mitigate risks
Negotiating with regulatory agencies on behalf of Client
Appropriately delegate assignments to project team members and mentor junior staff
Retain and manage technical experts and/or subcontractors to support the project
Prepare proposals, including project budgeting
Participate in business development activities with existing clients and developing new opportunities within the Southeastern U.S.
Maintain and grow existing client relationships and support business development staff to generate repeat business
Build strong collaborative relationships with the BLE team, our clients, and subcontractors while extending a high level of respect and integrity with each interaction
