RHA Health Services is recruiting for a Treatment Specialist (Behavioral Health Tech) for the Mary Benson House. This position is for overnight night coverage, 3 nights a week, 12 hour shifts. Mary Benson House is a home-like setting that provides 24-hour housing and substance abuse treatment for adult pregnant and/or parenting women and their children from birth to five years old. Our goal is to ensure that healthy babies are born while helping mothers move toward recovery and maintain a stable, sober, independent life with their children. MBH serves Western North Carolina. Last year we supported 24 individuals with residential treatment. To support the goals of the mothers the Treatment Specialist provides direct care to individuals with psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders in a residential setting ensuring the safety and well being of each resident. Our Ideal Treatment specialist is caring, patient, and fair while supporting the therapeutic environment, providing individual and group support as appropriate including meal preparation, childcare, transportation, and the general support of the residents Some of the responsibilities include: Provides direct care to residents as delegated by the house manager, program director, or supervisor. Performs/assists residents with activities of daily living consistently and according to policy and standards Monitors the self administration of medication for residents. Assists residents and children with nutritional needs Observes residents and effectively communicates significant changes or reactions to care to treatment team Consistently anticipates and meets residents needs Consistently follows the plan of care designed to meet the emotional needs of the residents, including safety level checks as appropriate. Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, with residents, family, and co-workers Consistently demonstrates positive consumer relation behaviors and attitudes Assists other staff members as the need arises Our ideal Treatment Specialist has positive motivational coaching and training skills, patient listening and communication skills and excels at what they do because they truly care about the people they serve. Additional requirements for the Treatment Specialist include: This classification requires graduation from a high school and two years experience in health care work at the level of health care assistant or an associate of arts in mental health; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience must be in the field of substance abuse and/or mental health. Certification in CPR and first aid, 2 years experience in a health care setting, some knowledge of addiction and recovery programs. Valid NC driver's license. We are currently seeking Qualified Behavioral Health Professionals III for FULL TIME Mobile Crisis Management (MCM) positions serving Rutherford, McDowell, and Mitchell counties. Applicants must meet criteria for "QP" status, LIVE IN THE VICINITY OF ONE OF THESE THREE COUNTIES and have a minimum of one year crisis experience (ACTT, IIHS, Inpatient treatment facility, or other service providing 24/7 crisis response duties). As part of the MCM team, you would provide crisis response services in a variety of settings (community, doctor's offices, schools, provider offices etc.) with the goal of helping individuals in crisis to avoid inpatient hospitalization. We serve individuals of all ages and disabilities, although most commonly we work with adults that are in a mental health or substance use crisis. This position consists of 15 hour on-call shifts from your home or the community. That means you are available to respond to a crisis event for the duration of your shift but when not engaged in an MCM activity, you are free to do what you like. The schedule for full time staff is non-traditional. Staff are on a rotation with several other staff providing services to the community. This is not an office based position. It is an on-call basis so you can work from your home or location of choice within the county. Staff are guaranteed 40 hours per week paid regardless of hours worked. The on call shift is 12p-3a, 3 to 4 days per week rotating. Every other week results in a 3 day weekend off. Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour $1000 sign on bonus paid per company guidelines. Schedule: 15 hour on call shifts from home/community, 12p-3a, 3 to 4 days per week. Every other week results in a 3 day weekend off. Position Requirements:: Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Professional. Bachelor's degree (in Human Services field) & 2+ years full-time experience with population served Bachelor's degree (Not Human Services field) & 4+ years full-time experience with population served OR Master's Degree or Higher & 1+ years full-time experience with population served. License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession. Other duties as assigned.
